Mandy's sweet, yet powerful vocals create a sound that is all new to the country music genre. Mandy was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  Her parents are Jim and Kathy and she grew up with three older sisters Melissa, Heidi, and Annie, her little brother Kevin and baby sister Abby.  Mandy's family of eight is extremely close and loving.  She believes her family is a blessing and is the foundation that keeps her grounded.  As a young girl, Mandy began her singing around the house, in school, and at church, along with singing, dance has always been a passion for her.  She started dancing at the age of two at a local dance studio and has been preforming in front of audiences ever since.  Mandy attended North Dakota State University, studying Music, Public Relations and Advertising.  She performed around the country as a member of the University Concert Choir.  Mandy honed her artistic craft singing at county fairs, bars, and night clubs.  Mandy was a featured singer and dancer at ValleyFair in Minnesota and she has also won numerous vocal competitions throughout the midwest.  Her unique sound has set her apart from others, gaining her mainstream radio exposure.  In order to further her dream as a singer/songwriter, she set her sights on Nashville, TN.



	''Songwriting has always been important to me.  I started writing music as a child.  My parents started taking me to Tin Pan South (NSAI Festival) years ago.  It opened a new world and an escape for me to find myself, express myself, and share ideas and stories that I never thought people would hear.  All of my songs make me feel connected in so many ways and to so many people and places.  The greatest gift I can receive is someones love and time.  My gift in return is my heart, words and soul in a song.  A song is something that can be shared for the rest of time.''



As a young artist Mandy started playing music venues in the Nashville area, including writers nights at the Bluebird Cafe and Douglas Corner.  She also performed at Tootsies and The Sage, landmark venues on the Broadway strip.  Mandy then began performing to larger audiences at arenas and convention centers around the country.  Soon after arriving in Nashville,  Mandy began recording at the Garth Fundis Sound Emporium working to create her first EP.  For Mandy writing has been an adventure.  She has traveled from Vancouver  to Los Angeles and back to Nashville,.  She has found that one of the best places to write is on the road, collaborating with a variety of songwriters.   Mandy's songwriting was recognized as one of the top 25 singer/songwriters in Nashville for the Colgate Country Showdown.    In 2009, Mandy was invited by her mentors Garth Fundis and Juanita Copeland to present awards at the Leadership Music Dale Franklin Awards, honoring Country Music leaders.  Recipients included, Jim Foglesong, Allen Reynolds and one of Mandy's idols Garth Brooks.

As a professional dancer Mandy  has choreographed ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop and has also been an instructor for ballroom and latin dancers at the National Dance Club.  Mandy is a competitive ballroom dancer in "Dancing With the Stars Nashville" and won the title in 2011.  Her extraordinary vocal and dance ability, coupled with her endearing personality landed her a starring role in the new Reality TV pilot, "Chasing the Dream Nashville," which follows the lives…
