The Game

This song was written about the loss of a friendship and band breakup. My whole life I had the goal of being in a successful pop girl group. After many auditions and failed groups I formed my own with friends and we called ourselves "The Fates". We were succeeding and performing all over Los Angeles's music scene and we had just performed our first original song which I wrote. Like any band this group had many trials and tribulations. One member ended up leaving the group and cutting me completely out of her life thus dismantling the entire band. The whole experience left me completely heartbroken and wounded. I began losing hope in persuing music because I had put all my efforts into this group. After a while I became inspired to release some music of my own. I had been writing songs since I was 11 and had written a lot of originals which I was always too shy to perform or share with others. Only 6 months after The Fates had broken up I wrote and released my EP titled Fate with the song Fate being the song that finished and tied the whole project together. In the end this experience helped me realize my strength in being a solo artist and songwriter.

Fate

I have a lot of difficulty talking about my song Hands on Me. It's about an abusive relationship. I never thought I'd tell anyone other than my closest friends about this experience and in a way I still haven't told anyone but them in detail. All I have is this song to explain to anyone else what I went through with out revealing all my pain and outing the person who did this to me. The song has a very pop/ edm feel to it which is very different from the rest of my music which is all mostly acoustic. I collaborated with two friends on this track who's duo name is "Lex Wolf City". They showed me this Demi Lovato inspired track they produced and my song fit perfectly to it.

Hands On Me

You Don't Fool Me is the sexiest song I've ever written. It's all about that flirtation and teasing that goes on in an intimate relationship. I've always been unsure about how I wanted to deal with the pop music industry and the constant parade of sexuality specifically of women. It's a double edged sword because on one hand you feel empowered as a woman to show your sexuality in all its taboo. On the other hand where do you draw the line and protect/ respect yourself. This song came to me when I was feeling myself for lack of a better expression and I want other women to listen while they get all ready for a night out or a sexy night in. I want people to play this song while they're gettin down if you know what I mean.

You Dont Fool Me MASTERED

Control is definitely a female empowerment type of song. I wrote it after a one night stand when the dude had the audacity to tell me he had no interest in being my boyfriend. This statement caught me off guard for sure because it came out of nowhere but I laughed it off and said I never asked you to be. It was just shocking because both of us knew what the situation was and that it was nothing serious. This kind of thing has happened to me a few times with men and it's funny to me because the woman holds all the power and control in a hook up situation. Some arrogant boys just like to think they're the ones in Control.

Control ft. Conejo

Meant To Be is quite possibly the best song I've ever written in my opinion and the nearest and dearest to my heart. The lyrics are very specific and storytelling about the details of my most special relationship. It's the ultimate cheesy happy love song. I can't even begin to describe this song because when you listen to it closely and carefully it speaks for itself and tells you everything you need to know.
