Fernando García Roldán AKA Digital Buidling AKA El Alumno es un friki de la electrónica originario de Graná pero asentado en Rotterdam.  El Alumno, aka bajo el que graba este mixtape, está musicalmente influenciado por el techno hipnótico y con texturas más densas que el gazpacho AlValle, a veces experimental, y otras más estructurado que la política de equipajes de ryanair. 

Usando la música como arma de expresión, un vehículo de meditación profunda a través de las ondas y las frecuencias, El Alumno, disfruta compartiendo con los demás sus mantras y nos regala esta maravilla de sesión.

ESC SERIES #011 X EL ALUMNO

Opening up our label mix series is Dosed Audio’s co-creator Jarrod Yeates with an all vinyl mix of energetic locked grooves with a focus on sounds from the late 90s and early 2000s. 

Jarrod discovered his love for electronic music as a teen in the underground bush and warehouse scene. Since then he has progressed to play at a variety of Perth's club and warehouse nights for local crews FLUX, GRIT and ITM. 

As a long time listener and obsessive collector, this mix is a strong representation of his affinity with 90s / 2000s vinyl, blending old and new tracks that define that era.

Before having played in major cities like London, Vienna, Paris and Berlin, where she resides today, Caniche developed her penchant for hard but groovy techno early on. Since the beginning of her career as a DJ and producer, her work falls on a continuum between tooly hardgroove spiked with tribal elements and trap vocals, as well as full-on schranz. 

As co-founder of the female DJ network PUSH, Caniche fiercely fights for more visibility and equal treatment of FLINTA artists in the harder techno scene. A goal her crew currently achieves with a residency at Tresor’s reoccurring New Faces Night as well as events throughout Vienna and Berlin.

Hontas also known as Melina Sostman. Not only do we share the same home base, we also have the same music taste and visions for the scene. By hosting events like Dependenz or Sine, Hontas supported the underground in Kassel and gave the opportunity to hear and love unexplored and new landscapes of techno. With her repetitive, textured and mesmerizing sound, Hontas always had the skill to hypnotize her listeners for a long journey.

South Side Serpent is researching and documenting innovative momentums across all domains of cultural production.

His sets are direct crowd-electrifiers, with technical and forward-thinking blends of grooves and hypnotic sounds. Always improvising through relentless 3-4 deck actions, his context-sensitive approach to performances is fueled by a highly effective audience reading, which will guarantee an electrifying moment, no matter the set time and duration.

He is a part of the Manevarim collective that he started alongside his younger brother and two friends, where they promote DJs via podcasts and organize events. Manevarim is set to transform into a label sometime in the future.

Stefan Racic aka Paragon, began his music career in 2016, mostly playing different types of house music, and a year later, he launched the underground techno project Paragon.  After years spent in the realm of electronic music, he decided to try his hand on the other side of the DJ booth. His energetic yet dreamy sets are dominated by groove techno, with occasional fusions of rhythms and melodies from electro and breakbeat. In 2021, he joined Kolektiv Base collective,  which brings together a group of music enthusiasts and underground club culture lovers.
Among Paragon's local performances, notable venues include Barutanu, Drugstore, Hangar, Tunnel, 20/44, Dot, KPTM, Half. His performances include appearances at Exit festival. Additionally, he made guest appearances at P23 club in Poland, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He shared the DJ booth with many names from the regional electronic scene, as well as foreign artists such as Monika Kruse, Paula Temple, Keith Carnal, Goldie, Cristian Varela, Fatima Hajji, Attache, Sev Dah, Volster, Ana RS.
