Stepping up for Tapes #44 is DJ, producer and label owner Coco Bryce. With well over two decades of experience, Coco Bryce can be regarded as a seasoned veteran in the world of uptempo dance music.  After getting his first pair of decks back in 1995 he soon found himself regularly spinning Gabber and UK Breakbeat records at Hardcore events near his homebase in the south of the Netherlands. By the late '90s Coco had taken to producing as well.

Ever prolific and never satisfied with sticking to any one formula, his discography contains over a hundred releases, spanning a wide variety of genres and labels, most notably Fresh 86, Lobster Theremin, Critical Music and of course his own imprints Myor, Myor Massiv, Diamond Life, Faces Of Bass and Ill Behaviour. A more recent development has seen him add yet another activity to his already busy schedule, hosting a monthly show on the radio station Balamii.

If you was a raver back in the ealry days then you would of raved to these tracks fpor sure. Daddy Armshouse was a prolific label with a surprisingly short run of releases but each of them are certified awesome!
The label took its name from Nookies record store amd gave us some of the biggest tracks of 1992. From Return of the Donut to Here comes Bod to Its not Over, Daddy Armshouse gave us massive piano breakbeat bangers to the slightly darker style of Crumbs on my Technics & Man Sh*t Dead, Nokkie was at the forefront of the hardcore movement but you can still hear the sound that he took in to the jungle scene.
So here we are in the 21st century taking you back to the early days of rave, before the music scene split, when the phrase One Love reigned supreme!

Matthew Reid better known by his stage name Manga Saint Hilare is a British Grime artist of St Lucian & St Vincent heritage. Following the release of four full length projects and multiple mixtapes he is cementing his name in Grime culture & sound. The long-standing grime heavy hitter is known amongst his peers as one of the best and most consistent lyricists in the scene. Since Roll Deep ceased recording as a collective, Manga pursued a forward-thinking sound under a newly adopted identity: Manga Saint Hilare. Less braggadocios and explicit, more thought provoking and vulnerable - Manga's lyrics carry a powerful message.  His 2020 Make It Out Alive project earned him a nomination at the MOBO awards for ‘Best Grime Artist’. Continuing to create new music & content.
