My inspiration stems from Gatekeeper’s 2013 EP titled ‘Young Chronos’ as it opened my eyes to exploring medieval rpg sound design through electronic music, ultimately marrying the passions I have for gaming and production. 

‘Ritual’ is an attempt to experiment with these ideas looking at the sound design & fx of the PS3 game ‘Dante’s Inferno’, a 3rd person ‘hack and slash’ adventure loosely based on the poem of the same name. It follows from my previous EP ‘Unbroken’ in its weaving of lore and sound but takes a further step away from its original texts and focuses on entreating/entering the dance.

is such that, though I gazed into its pit,
I was unable to discern a thing.
