The clues were now coming in droves; missed appointments, late night messages, and farfetched excuses... Maybe he wanted her to find out. That, or he wasn't doing a very good job of covering it up. She'd been blind to it but now it was as though a veil had been lifted, her rose tinted glasses had been firmly removed and reality had set in. The revelation had to come.

In May Lithuanian music platform and label Whypeopledance celebrated eight years in the game. As a recognition of the milestone and the friends and family they've built around them, they've baked a very special birthday cake: a nine-track compilation featuring producers from home turf and beyond. Showcasing the sounds they've become known for, from synthwave to EBM, techno and indie dance, the release features music from the likes of Anastasia Zems, John Patter, Tadan and close label affiliate Jaroška.

"Some men are at home where others would be scared to tiptoe; Enter MILF Recordings, a new label that mysteriously emerges from nowhere (and everywhere at the same time).  Immediately present in the artwork, a sex charged energy, reminiscent of a 80’s - 90’s heyday, intended for mature audiences only.  Perhaps it lives on in this latest delivery from our good friend, “UNKNOWN ARTIST.”  The opening scene, I mean track… “Adicktion” (Milf’s Edit) - a tough, rolling, disco-esque bassline, somewhat of a theme throughout the release, drives the listener, over shimmering, analog drums that gradually boil over into a synthy intensity, all while you are serenaded to the excited confessions of a sex addict.  Track 2, “Dame Mature,” lowering the tempo somehow brings out a more mechanical sensuality in the track’s sampling, blending together voices, and more, over a cutting bassline, that patiently establishes a steady, easy to follow rhythm, which ends with what appears to be cracks of a whip, if that’s something you enjoy.  The closing track, “Asstronomy” (Fuck Off Edit), a type of erotic, post apocalyptic outro, through space.  More aggressive, and then later sludgy, pulsating, bass tones keep the energy moving, into an interestingly dubby, droning, breakdown, that would surely create some excellent mixing opportunities for any remotely creative DJ, possibly.  All around, a solid collection for fans of dark disco edits, that any sweaty, open minded dancefloor would surely embrace, assuming there is a DJ in the building who is capable of wielding such a fiery trio.  

A final note, for those who might only have eyes for vulgarity, where there is only music, offering their unsolicited judgment, I ask, how did you get here?  Don’t answer that question."

Following the success of their debut album, 'Eros Anikate', Berlin-based DJ and Producer couple Local Suicide return with the first of four remix EPs for their release, each named after an ancient Greek god.
'Eros Anikate - Adonis Remixes' is a 5-track EP featuring two remixes for 'High Buildings' w/ Lee Stevens by Die Selektion and by Jennifer Touch, one for 'Whispering' w/Curses by Cornelius Doctor, and two remixes for 'Hercules Adonis', one by Rodion and one by Alejandro Paz. 
Rodion, known as the 'new genius of Italian Dance music', offers the first of two remixes for 'Hercules Adonis'. He is heavily influenced by soundtrack composers such as Morricone and Goblin, 70s Japanese sci-fi animation soundtracks, classical music and Balearic club culture, making emotional, freaked-out electronic music that sits somewhere between cosmic, synthesised funk and the dramatic soundtrack of an Italian horror movie. His remix of 'Adonis' is no different, adding frantic percussion and stuttered, choppy synths that build tension and drama.
The EP will be released on digital and vinyl formats via their Iptamenos Discos imprint on September 16th, 2022.

STILL IN LUV

Hailing from Mexico, Zombies In Miami have caught the ears of the electro disco faithful with outings for Correspondant and Love On The Rocks. The twosome are debuting on Bordello A Parigi with a pair of late night burners. 'Turquoise' is a sliding snaking piece of synthesizer sorcery. Crisp beats are draped in hazy harmonies, reverb soaked bars rising amongst soaring keys and echoed vocals for a work of true elation. 'Hipodromo' follows, and starts as it means to go out. Drums crash before a floor melting synthline is dropped. The swirl of the mirrorball takes over as this duo whisk you into the warm and melting sounds of strings, rich bass and climbing claps.

Zombies In Miami - Hipodromo

Ultraviolet is defined as radiation with wavelengths shorter than visible light. The main source of ultraviolet radiation on Earth is the Sun. 
So, in his second release, the New York label Samo Records, like a sun, sends to us a dose of Ultraviolet - product of collaboration from two wonderful producers and djs -  Australian born and NY based Ash Moses aka Tunnel Sings and Missy Livingston aka Moderna who currently resides in Los Angeles.
The EP includes two excellent compositions, among which, even if desired, it is difficult to single out an unequivocal winner: two very different tracks united by same mood. 
In addition to them Samo offers you remixes from the French virtuoso Markus Gibb, New York talent Willie Burns and an extra remix from the owner of the label - Facets, which is not included in the vinyl and will be attached to the release in digi format..
For today premiere i have picked up title track "Ultraviolet" because it looks like that radioactive ray - you can not touch it, but you still feel his destructive power. This is an absolute dancefloor killer, that blends a stick-in-your-head vocal with hard electro for radiantly retrofuturistic results.

ROBI INSINNA – HARD WORK [INDUSTRIA]

Hard Work is the first release on Industria, Robi Insinna’s brand new project label.

Back in 2001 Robi Insinna founded the seminal Relish label in direct response to a thendominant sound in club music. Its catalogue is as vast as it is varied and foreshadowing the music he'd go on to make himself under Headman/Manhead. Fast forward to 2018 and after more than a decade he's on the move again launching new Project label, Industria with 'not quite an album, not quite an EP, Hard Work. Robi felt there was no reason to split projects the way he did with his aliases and as such the debut will be released under Robi's own name.

Industria will be focused more on vinyl releases, but not solely vinyl. The project will encompass all area's of Robi's work and ties together elements of his art and visual design projects. This release is limited to 200 copies, 50 of them will feature a special Artwork, that will be sold in
selected places.

Merging Robi's disco leanings with an opiate smooth, stoned groove the title track Hard Work opens proceedings and heads immediately for the dancefloor dragging its hushed vocals and skewed guitar line kicking and screaming with it. The dub rolls in next further stretching and twisting the guitar and giving the rhythm more space to swing. It most of all draws from the sense of outsider-disco fun, with the sound of stuttering percussion, a wry smile, and a knowing wink running throughout. Düsseldorf Krautrockers Die Wilde Jagd take over remix duties on the third track of the A side and cast Hard Work off into unfamiliar and experimental territory, using bright synth splashes,
squashed vocal samples and a pulsing rhythm to wrestle the groove and growling sense of menace out of the track.
Side 2 kicks things off with Some Believe coming to life with arpeggio'd synth shapes and brutish drums. The overall feel, however, suggests considerable care and attention has been paid to make it sound this way. There's clearly an uncommon musicality at play here to make something this complex feel so simple. The BPM drops next on The Kiss but from the offset, there's enough funk and thrust in the
motorised synth line to get bodies gently grooving without the beauty getting lost in the slower
loop. A dramatic bass leads and a xylophone playing a nervous but euphoric melody follows. It's glassy mallets pinging atop the warm electronics creating a fresh groove. Closing track Oct17 rounds off the record and puts an ever more personal spin on retro analogue
sounds with synths and drummachines . A razor-sharp snare fires against the bassline and what sounds like a sliced vocal loop before these elements settle into a more measured thrust with the
undulating synth tones offset by funkier ingredients. This is a record that doesn't have its eyes fixed on past glories but references all the element that made Robi's previous work so special. Hard Work sounds like it's here to freshen up 2018. It's music that leaves scorch marks and smoulders. It is the sound of our very own, very recent times.

'Opium Of The People’ was conceived and compiled by one of the residents at Opium, Vidmantas "V” Cepkauskas and is the club's statement after its growing international reputation. Featuring both local and international artists who have supported Opium's musical vision. The compilation is being released through @LeTempsPerduOnline 

This compilation has been one of the highlights of the year for us so far with many stand out tracks. One of which ‘ Patterns of An Idiot’  coming from one of the most promising producers to emerge from Tel Aviv in recent times, @Autarkic, who creates a typically funky, psychedelic  track with a distinctive retro flair.
