In 1997 a chance encounter between Frenchman Sebastien Jouan and Gavin Knight (aka Parris) both students at Strathclyde University, Glasgow led to the very first episodes of "Mangetout!" to be transmitted in the United Kingdom. Contrary to popular belief, the show was not started by Gavin, but was an already establish show on student radio in France. However, Sebastien and Gavin produced & hosted 4 shows on newly established "Subcity Radio" (Glasgow University) before parting company. Sebastien returned to France and Gavin co-founded Strathclyde University's 'Fusion' student radio station. Mangetout! was reborn as Mange2! with Gavin Knight & co-host Colette Nicholson. No other clips of the Subcity Mangetout! shows are known to exist. Gavin's tapes were water damaged and this is all that remains. Mangetout! was a student radio programme on Subcity Radio in 1997.  Originally started by Sebastien Jouan, then co-hosted by Gavin (Parris) Knight. In 1998 the show changed to Mange2 and was produced by Parris for a further 14 years. Today Parris produces and hosts the French Music Podcast UK once a week on French Radio London on Friday evenings at 8pm (GMT+1).
