Welcoming Kris Jay for his first EP on Mangoes + Melons! After a big success of his 'Where's The Bass?' track on our MM004 compilation - we knew we had to get him back and for a whole EP this time!

A range of Speed Garage flavaz that bring us back to those mid 00s days where the bass picked up a more warpy sound and the drums provided a furious rhythm.

MM006 - KRIS JAY - IN THE DARNCE EP

Karma provides a deeper side to the EP and consists of a rumbling classic reese bassline, heard in many Speed Garage tunes from the late 90s through to the current day. A more warpy bassline can also be heard which again takes us back to those wicked mid 00s days of warper Speed Garage!

The 2nd half of the tune reminds us of those Jackin' days of Bass House. This one ticks all the boxes for us!

Kris Jay - Karma

Groovin' is a proper gritty UK Speed Garage tune. Again reminding us of those mid 00s Speed Garage days - the tune is run by a wicked warping bassline, skippy hi-hats and filtered out Ragga vocals.

The bassline runs long and hard and has been a proper weapon in our collection for a little while now.

A nice way to round off the EP - Soulecta provides us with a bumpy Garage joint, fitted with a steppy organ that we have been really digging. The vibe in the tune is moody but still provides the energy to get a club moving.

This is our first time having Soulecta on the label and we were really impressed with the direction he took this tune!

In The Darnce has all those sounds you can expect from a mid 00s warper - except this one is fresh out the studio in 2019 from Kris Jay!

Bleeping dub sirens lead the pattern of the track, whilst a number of raw Speed Garage basslines rumble and take over the track, accompanied by skippy and classic Speed Garage beats.

We're absolutely loving this dark dance floor weapon!
