Beach House on a Small Island

Mango Island Sound mixes together a bit of rock, steel drums, a little tropical rhythm and island flavor in various proportions to see what comes out.

Our first single, Beach House on a Small Island, features Forest on vocals and Mark Pelczarski on steel drums.

Forest is a singer-songwriter who lives on an island where mangos are few and the beaches aren't quite as warm as those in the tropical sun. Hopefully her singing helps to imagine your own island dream, whatever the weather.

Mark lives on an island farther south (with mangos!) and has played steel drums in various bands since the 1980's. He helped set up Jimmy Buffett's Shrimpboat Sound recording studio in Key West and worked on albums with Buffett, and also helped set up Dan Fogelberg's studio in Colorado. He's  played steel drums on stage with Buffett in small venues on several occasions, and played on the pre-show plaza stages for many of his arena concerts.
