Mango’s Daddy has been writing and recording songs since the 1970’s. His Los Angeles-based folk rock trio the Rockin’ Jamokes had a unique vocal blend and played college concerts in the late 1970's. Their repertoire included covers of songs by the Grateful Dead, Jethro Tull, James Taylor, Loggins and Messina, and J.D. Souther among others. 

In the 1980s Mr. Daddy's collaboration with Los Angeles songwriter and recording artist Peter Marston produced over thirty original pop and rock songs. Also in the 1980’s Mr. Daddy was a member of the duo Shtillson and Govatinberg whose song parodies “Kinky Kinda Cowboy”, “Don’t Worry, Go Shopping”, and “Dog Doo on the Sole of My Shoe” were all featured on the syndicated radio program "The Dr. Demento Show". 

In the 1990’s Mr. Daddy's collaboration with lyricist and poet Scott Davison resulted in a number of songs which Mango’s Daddy recorded and released in 2019.  “I’m Not the Only One” and “Cartwheeling Away” have received the most attention from listeners and critics.

Mr. Daddy continues to write and record. Most recently he has teamed up with producer Killian Cruiser of Soundbetter.com to release "The Open Road" and Mango's Daddy's next release "Disco Love Child"  - a throwback song with imagery that Disco lovers will certainly relate to. "Disco Love Child" will be released on October 31, 2021.
