At threethousand.co.uk, we would say it is our job and duty to showcase the best in new bass music worldwide, with that bracket constantly being expanded to include as much exciting new material as possible. The most exciting thing about bass music specifically here in the UK, is that we really do not know what is on the way next, with so many different influences and themes being thrown into the mixing pot. We are heading up the road today to Leeds as we link up with the ever-ready In:Flux Audio team for a look at their latest extravaganza. 



Enter: Sample Junkie, one of the In:Flux rosters most established and long standing members, providing their catalogue with countless heavy hitters over the last 5 years or so. It's been a very exciting journey to watch from afar as the styles and approaches twist and rotate down the years, with his latest EP being a perfect example of that. He takes a higher tempo approach across the explosive tracklisting on the 'Landlord Stab' EP, which features two fiery originals alongside a pair of absolutely womping remixes, ready to ramp up the energy in any dance. 

The project kicks off with 'Get Fucked', a dancefloor ready sizzler, working at around 145BPM with a pulsating sense of rave energy woven throughout, amplified by electric synthesizer slides and catchy vocal inputs. Next, the energy intensifies inside the incredibly glitchy bass designs and rawcus arrangements of 'How I Flow', which really ups things a gear with it's unpredictable leads and unapologetic unpredictability. The project also comes complete with two excellent remix projects, as RRRitalin gives 'How I Flow' a monumental hardcore revamp, followed by rave-ready overhaul of 'JAKAZiD, adding a fantastic level of variation to the release it's final additions.

In the two years we have been working away here at threethousand.co.uk, we have made a real effort to champion and support the projects and imprints we feel show high levels of consistenct. Having one release pop and your following all coming from there is fine, but what we appreicate more than anything else is a labels ability to maintain those high energy levels and commitment to delivering high quality creations. We have seen many labels come and go, with relevance rising and falling, however, we can safely say that In:Flux Audio is a label that has shone through every single time with an impeccible record of top quality EP's and singles. 



The thing we have enjoyed the most about the expansion of their catalogue is the fearlessness in which they dive head first into different genres from across the electronic spectrum, with their release history featuring dubstep, bass, breaks, garage and everything inbetween. Today we see them bring in the talents of Coxon for a brand new EP drop which we couldn't be happier to be getting involved with on premiere duty. 

The EP itself is a five track thrill-ride, kicking off with the jungle infused drum work and twisted, sizzling synthesizer pressure of 'ICKY', which takes the role of title track as we move forward. Next up on the selection comes 'PTSD', a high energy, mutant bass warbler, chugging away at a much higher tempo than your average bassline belter to really inject some energy into the dance. From here, the remixes decend as we take in three well thought out overhauls of 'ICKY' from the likes of Soliton, SHVA & LOTU.

The project is a fantastic showcase of In:Flux's versatility and expansive understanding of electronic music and we couldn't be happier to be getting involved on premiere duty.
