The inspiration for the title comes from an evening in my life a couple of years ago, in which I received a parking ticket in Manchester town centre from a notoriously scummy traffic warden. Frustrated as I was, I calmed myself down by fishing out my headphones and playing a little loop I'd been working on. Needless to say, while I regained my composure along to the funky little number, the scene etched itself into my memory, granting me the perfect title for my unfinished song. Well, here it is now - finished and recorded and shared with y'all! :)

Intro

Twist and turn through a dark world of unexpected whimsy and emerge laughing into the sarcastic sunshine. What the fuck was that? No-one wants to say, “Youʼve been mangoed”, but that's the flavour on everyoneʼs lips. Genres are flying in every direction and no-one is even sure what decade it is anymore. Mongolian throat singing? Why not. Badass basslines? Of course. Saucy synthesisers? Yahuh. Jungle riddim? Check ‘dis, sometimes... This music is the sound of all the weirdest parts of a festival - itʼll keep you
guessing even when its right in front of you!

Mango Thomas takes a sideways look at life and accepts wholeheartedly the good, the bad, and every weird little thing in between. Who doesnʼt appreciate the simple joy of a mango? Thomas smashes it with a sledgehammer.
