MOTIVATION LETTER:
Why i want to be studying in Codarts?
After experiencing the environment, some of the classes and being in touch with the school, i am totally convinced that would be the best place for me to develop both as a person and as a musician. Being in touch with people from all over the world, share knowledge, learn from others, maybe even teach others... different cultures, different ways of understanding and expressing music has made my mind about where i want to study. And definitely i want to be there. The great educational offer i have experienced there , has set the standard of the musical environment i want to experience. Once you have been there, you can feel there's definitely something going on there, and i have to be there. Lots of interesting projects, ideas, experiences in terms of the music experience...it was just awesome. When i read Miles Davis' biography i learnt one has to be where things are happening to develop himself as a musician, and to learn from people who can be at a higher leven than one. And that's my main goal there. Total compromise to learn, to develop as a musician is on my side to get it.
My level of compromise with music has been proved when i decided quitting a comfortable life to study music 2 years ago. It took me some time to have it clear, but music is the only thing that makes me feel fulfilled. Right now i'm on a daily basis of 6-8hours of study, but where i come from, most people just have music as a hobby. To me it's much more, it's fun, of course, but it's what i want to put all my efforts into. I want to become the best musician i can, and i'm willing to spend all the time i have to in order to get it. And i want to do it at Codarts. Give me a chance to prove that i can be at the level with all my effort and illusion.
