New label ‘Flightpath’ is the sonic depiction of humankind’s inevitable excursion to dystopia. Pushing hardcore machine music into a new paradigm, with a combination of sonics and visuals that pull from the past and future in equal measure. It’s first release; a four track EP by Mani Festo (label founder) entitled ‘Higher’ captures its essence perfectly. Fusing breakbeats, soaring rave pianos, dark-side kick drums and industrial machine funk to soundtrack post-pandemic hedonism in a way that nothing else could.

The title track ‘Higher’ is a tale of long-lost raves, written during the summer of 2020. It reflects the first time in the history of electronic music that gatherings ceased to exist. The track is hopeful, but longs for the freedom of dancing in a field, something that seems like nothing more than a forgotten memory.

K-65 returns to Flightpath off the back of his hugely successful ‘Get Down’ EP earlier this year, tasked with remixing the label's biggest track to date, Mani Festo’s ‘The Reaper’. He has turned the techno stomper into a signature Electro / Breakbeat dancefloor destroyer, which has been doing damage on every sound system it’s touched.

Mani Festo repays the favour by remixing K-65’s club weapon ‘No Stop’. Rising bpms Layered breaks and psychedelic elements take this powerhouse track into new sonic territories, still just as ready to flatten any dance floor in its path.

Flightpath continues to build its catalogue of technoid bass music, with a release schedule that extends long into 2023.

"Warlock’s Slow Violence EP features 4 sleek club focused rhythmic experiments, masterfully crafted in his South London studio; they display a knowledge and restraint that only someone with his exhaustive knowledge and background in underground sonics can wield. 

Each track has the relentless drive of London’s warehouse rave scene at its back, juxtaposed with the space and raw sub-frequency power often found in the worlds of dubstep and bass music.

This juxtaposition fits perfectly into Flightpath’s catalog, which is constantly pushing at the boundaries between the sounds of the underground.
