‘Born To Rock And Roll’ is a nostalgic journey of rock music through the generations and genres. Music has always had a special connection with me and has to a great extent shaped my life...I have chosen 20 great tracks, some which I have redone from scratch to give them more energy and lift them to a higher level of musical harmony...So I hope you enjoy these songs again. 

The title track ‘Born to Rock and Roll’ is a song by Cliff Richard released in 1992 from his ‘My Kinda Life’ Album and the lyrics of the song have some resemblance to my musical journey. I have recorded another song by Cliff Richard ‘We Say Yeah’ (1961) from the movie ‘The Young Ones’, which is another of my favourites...

‘Roadhouse Blues’ by the Doors (1970) is a new version...again more experience and guitar skills has allowed me to be more creative this time around, so I hope you also enjoy this one again... 

Other rock and roll tracks include ‘Just A Girl’ by No Doubt (1995) from their third studio album ‘Tragic Kingdom’, ‘Nothing but A Woman’ By the Robert Cray Band (1986), Two songs by Buddy Holly ‘Oh Boy’ (1957) and ‘Rave On’ (1958). ‘Sea Cruise’ is a song written and sung by Huey Smith and His Clowns in 1971.  

‘I’m Gonna Be Warm This Winter’ by Connie Francis (1962), ‘Why Did It Have to Be Me’ By Abba (1976) is a new version, so I hope you enjoy this one again. ‘Singing the Blues’ by Guy Mitchell (1956), ‘Cest la Vie’ by B*Witched (1998).

Other rock classics include ‘Long Cool Woman’ by the Hollies (1972), ‘Honky Tonk Woman’ by the Rolling Stones (1969), ‘This Ole House’ by Shakin’ Stevens (1981), ‘I Only Wanna Be with You’ by the Bay City Rollers (1976).

A bit of Disco with Yvonne Elleman’s ‘If I Can’t Have You’ (1977), ‘Ballroom Blitz’ by The Sweet (1974) and ‘Rev It Up’ By Jerry Harrison and the Casual Gods (1988). To finish of the Album a very special song by Dr Hook and the Medicine Show ‘The Cover of the Rolling Stone’ (1972), which is an old favourite of mine...

This Album covers songs from 1956 to 1998, so I hope it brings back memories or a new listening experience and you enjoy this collection of good old fashioned ‘Rock & Roll’...
