This track was written after, once again, being lied to by a woman. (sorry ladies, but it was).  Its a kind of anti-lovesong and features samples depicting how i felt at that point.  The aggressive nature of the synth riffs in the latter part of the track sums up my anger that week, I deliberately made the synths scraping to the senses. Also i had watched Woodstock the previous evening and felt compelled to include a guitar at the beginning.

Japanese techno titan, Ken Ishii, is back on Tronic with another 3-track EP. French live Techno outfit Möd3rn returns to Rekids’ Rekids Special Projects with part two of their ‘Far South’ EP 23rd May 2025, following part one in March. Across its four tracks, this second instalment once again sees Electric Rescue, Kmyle, and Moteka join forces for an EP featuring no-holds-barred rhythm infused with raw intergalactic sound, while also having a playful and introspective edge. Möd3rn’s part two of their ‘Far South’ project is another versatile set of tracks for those who favour the tripped-out fringes of Techno.

Founded in 2013 by Maxime Dangles, Traumer, and Skryptöm label boss Electric Rescue, Möd3rn has grown into a notable live hardware act with a long list of releases on their eponymous Möd3rn Records label. Though Maxime Dangles and Traumer have now moved on from the project, Mord and COD3 QR artist Kmyle, as well as Skryptöm regular Moteka, have all joined Electric Rescue since.

Swiss producer Deetron makes a triumphant return to Rejected, marking his first release on the label since the seminal 2011 anthem Starblazer. A genre-spanning artist renowned for fluidly navigating the electronic spectrum, from muscular house via Nu Groove to pure techno on Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR and DJ Bone's Subject Detroit.

His new release, 'Discovery', is a rare excavation from the archives. Two long-lost tracks unearthed and reborn from the depths of his fathoms-deep projects folder. Reinvigorated with fresh production and perspective.

'The EP is called Discovery because it's based upon tracks that I rediscovered from a while back and re-worked for today,' explains Deetron. 'The title track was just a draft, created with the Alpha Juno 106. I added the bassline later on and put the finishing touches to it last year, so it has been a long process.'

On the B-side, 'Acid Scape' ventures into cosmic terrain. 'It speaks for itself,' he continues. 'I've long been making music that could be called Acid in some way, but I've never actually owned a 303. This piece in particular was made with an FM synth (Yamaha TX81Z) and reflects my fascination with space. A landscape on a distant planet if you will.'

A return. A rediscovery. A release that reminds us why Deetron remains one of electronic music's most enduring and forward-thinking voices.
