Brazilian Beats (Afro roots - Electro routes)

A homage to the legacy of African music, that has interpreted new sounds from the countries in which Diaspora communities live. In the same way Fela Kuti took Jazz, Funk and more to shape a distinctly African music, bands have been inspired by his music to reinterpret it for themselves. This mix contains artists from Ghana, Nigeria Trinidad, Brazil, Colombia, UK and Canada, mixing in electronic and traditional sounds to pave new styles and influences.

Africa Diaspora

Balkan Beat remix of a collaboration between UK Ska-Folk-Punk band Will Tun & the Wasters and French political rapper MC Amalgam. Manifiesta takes influence from the UK's crossover musical spirit, developing into a rich diaspora through years of migration and musical exchange, mixing Balkan influence and instrumentation with a constantly evolving DIY rave culture for the latest remix.

With these 2 new tracks, Manifiesta mixes Cumbia rhythms with traditional Klezmer melodies, arranged and recorded with original accordion lines, fusing a love dub and electronic production to create a unique sonic soundclash. 

Born primarily as a live project, Manifiesta can be found performing across Latin America on an extended tour of the continent, taking in new live influences inspired by the sounds of the region.
