Our latest premiere sees a wholesome house offering from one of the genre's most exciting up and comers. Harrison BDP has carved out a name for himself through his exciting productions that first gained traction online via YouTube and more. 
His latest EP sees him on Enclave Records joined by Garth James, where he drops two deep house tracks, dipped in haze but full of variation.

London based @Hyasynthe pulls up slowly building delight, Aurora. Particles shuttle around in the upper atmosphere, causing reddish and green hues to dance, all as that same sample loops over and over, building, waxing and waning. How can the producers use of Ableton 10, 808’s and your own heartstring have such an effect on the magnetic pole of the earth? we're completely unsure. 

We never thought something with so emotionally driven, and many hued could be birthed from someone hailing from Milton Keynes; what some call the Jewel of the Buckinghamshire heartland, but most consider the complete antithesis. Opposites attract, we suppose but this sonic sonnet is one to be saved, that’s for sure.

You’ve probably heard by now that Australia is in the midst of an unprecedented climate disaster. Catastrophic bushfires are raging across much of Australia and have not only taken a huge human and economic toll but have also delivered heavy blows to native flora and fauna. 

BONN are passionate about contributing to a brighter future and are committed to taking action, especially when politicians won’t. In response to the tragic events that are taking place in theirs and possibly your homeland, they asked some talented friends to contribute to a compilation to support those affected by the devastating bushfires across Australia. 

Proceeds will be donated to a campaign set up by a Yorta Yorta man and community rights advocate, Neil Morris (Drmngnow). The money raised will offer culturally sensitive, specific and direct support to communities with critical costs to cover—such as temporary relocation, basic amenities, property repairs and ongoing support where necessary.

A note from BONN also to say "we acknowledge that these tragedies have occurred on Sacred Indigenous lands where Sovereignty has not been ceded. The ongoing connection of First Nations people’s to country and culture is critical to life on this land. We acknowledge our ancestors and elders past present and future."

PREMIERE: Jad & The - 303 to TXL [Beats of no Nation]

The Austrian electronic music label fortunea starts off the new decade with a bang! This time they come up with a new EP by label fellow Peletronic.

It’s called ‚Secret Escape‘ and begins with the raw and energetic title track, that is driven by MPC-style melody chops and a grooving bassline. Deﬁnitely a lot of peak time potential here. The original track is accompanied by a remix of charismatic Australian dj- and producer Jad & The, who transforms it into an euphoric deep house weapon with funky breaks and analogue infused acid sequences.

The ﬁrst track of the B-side is setting up a darker mood. It’s called „My House Is Your House“ and comes up with spaced out elements that complement each other into a late night/early morning club atmosphere. Voice- and effect artefacts sprinkle through the listeners head, while kick and bassline are holding everything together. Jon Gravy makes the remix dutys on B2 and delivers a stomping alternative to the original. A funky reverberant guitar, a staccato male vocal and high pitched piano stabs gives you back these feellings of mid 1990s chicago house memories.

All in all a must have house record for this upcoming festival season. Don’t miss out! __

	Dublin-hailing, Berlin-based DJ, Bill Mango’s debut EP, Sun, Sea & XTC, taps into a feeling that so many of us in the electronic music community have been craving since COVID-19 struck. As the virus continues to maintain a stranglehold on the live music industry, the feelings of communal bliss offered by live house shows is something that feels more and more like a hazy dream, receding farther and farther into the distance. 

	Sun, Sea & XTC is filled with sun-soaked, bleary-eyed, bittersweet tunes that remind us of the pure elation and dreamy escapism that house music can offer. No track manages to capture this array of feelings more effortlessly than the languid opener, “Carabela.” As the song fades in with birds chirping and gentle waves crashing on the shore, a soft, lilting guitar line, tambourine, and hand-drums all weave in to craft a rhythm primed for an outdoor venue during sunset. The track quickly picks up speed as the four-by-four drum and bass rhythm kicks in, while a synth-line that recalls sunlight shimmering on the ocean, along with a vocal sample of airy, exhaling breaths, work to maintain a lingering mood of dreaminess and ephemerality. As the song closes out, the synths and guitar drop away, revealing the pulsing rhythm underneath, a moment that feels like a wake-up call and reminder that the dream is nearly over. 

	The EP marks Bill’s first release on his new imprint Mango, which started as a residency at famed Berlin club Griessmüehle. This track, and the EP as a whole, is a wistful nod to the halcyon days of club-going and summertime outdoor sets. While these days may be still a ways away, this track offers a sublime encapsulation of the serenity house music can provide.
