"I believe that the suffering or the bad memories are as important as the good memories and good experiences. If you sort of can imagine life as being 99% of the time quite linear and most of the time you are neither in a state of happiness nor sadness. And then let's say at 1% of the time you experience moments of either very crystallized happiness or crystallized sadness or moments of depression. 
And I believe these crystallized moments are very potent. And for me, it's mostly these crystallized moments of melancholy, which are more inspirational to me. So in a strange way they become quite beautiful in their own way. Music that is sad, melancholic or depressing is in a kind of perverse way more uplifting. I find happy music most of the time quite depressing, if it's just mindless party music. It's particularly because it has no spirituality behind it. Largely speaking, I am the kind of person that responds more to melancholia and that makes me feel good."

Tāmaki Makaurau-based DJ Mia Kober, known for her unique ability to tap into the emotional essence of the music she plays. With a diverse taste, she smoothly bridges energies and moods across different times, spaces, and environments. Not defined by genre but with an intuitive feel for what the audience needs, peak time or ambient. Mia’s sets are all about the feeling. Mia’s music is an eclectic display of deep grooves soaking in soul, sonic atmospheres, slinging chunky selections, and emotive electronica, all woven with a
sprinkling of surprises. Journeys are never linear. Mia follows many bends in the road, forming tantalising tales to move you and groove too. Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride!

I recorded this mix back in September of last year, to be published in October for Radio Alhara. It's live now and it's all about the one thing we need: Love.

Our Way Through Processes is @arilumusic's first album after EP releases such as Lemuria and Era of Harmony and contains work from the last 4 years.

The album reflects a long journey through all the ups and downs, emotions, thoughts, all facets of the artist's life, but at the same time it contains a wide spectrum of healing frequencies and songs.

The intention of this album is to let the listener feel/experience their conscious/unconscious serving but also no longer serving emotions, with the aim of feeling or letting go of them in peace and harmony. 

They can put you into a kind of trance or meditative state.

They touch us when we listen attentively to the sounds, experience them as a sound journey, e.g. for ecstatic dances, for quiet inner reflection or dream journeys etc.

We will release the 10 track album over the next 14 days, with the final release date being 25.05 on all music platforms.
