This mantra is always the first that is chanted during a session of kundalini yoga or meditation,
and is therefore referred to as the Tuning In to your Higher Self Mantra.  The literal meaning is, "I
bow before my highest consciousness." Chanting this mantra gets you in touch with your truest
self, your highest self.  The mantra should be chanted loudly, from the back of the nasal cavity
and from the throat.  As a rule, it is chanted in prayer pose, with the hands near the heart, palms
together, and the knuckles of the thumbs pressed against the breastbone. Inhale deeply and
focus your attention on your third-eye point.  As you exhale, chant the mantra in one breath.  If
you can't do it in one breath, take a short breath after Ong Namo.  The sound Dev is chanted at a
slightly higher tone than the other sounds.  As you chant, vibrate your cranium enough to create
mild pressure at the chird eye point.  Chant this mantra at least three times

Manish Vyas, born in Gujarat, India (lives in Switzerland) and has been learning Indian music since the age of ten, he learnt Tabla with Ustad Allarakha in Mumbai, where he continued for many years, while he was in charge of the musical department at Osho Ashram in Pune, organizing and performing concerts. He is composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist (Tabla, Harmonium, Santoor, Keyboard) and teacher. Along his lifetime musical path, he has composed hundreds of songs, mainly in the devotional, folk, instrumental, meditative and Sufi genres. He has released more than 20 albums. He offers the perfect blend of Indian genuine sounds merged with a touch of fusion, which makes his music so accessible and appreciated by all type of listeners in the search of authentic Indian sounds. Manish lives currently in Switzerland where he runs a music academy in his spare time. "Important is people know what is what when it comes to sound, Indian music, mantra and Indian spirituality. I share that, what i learned from genuine sources, this is the least respect that Indian music deserves and will always deserve."
