Vishwanath Ashtakam

Ши́ва (санскр. शिव, śiva IAST, «благой», «милостивый») — в индуизме олицетворение разрушительного начала вселенной и трансформации (созидания); одно из божеств верховной триады (тримурти), наряду с творцом Брахмой и поддержателем Вишну. Согласно «Шива-пуране», является создателем и Вишну, и Брахмы. Олицетворяет одновременно разрушительное и созидательное начала. Пять божественных ролей Шивы: создание, поддержка, растворение, сокрытие и дарование благодати.

зображается чаще всего сидящим в позе лотоса, с кожей белого цвета, с синей шеей, со спутанными или скрученными в пучок на макушке (джата) волосами, носящим змею на шее, голове, руках и ногах (как браслеты), на поясе и переброшенную через плечо (как аналог священного шнура). Одет в тигровую или слоновью шкуру, восседает на тигровой шкуре. На лбу — третий глаз, а также трипундра из священного пепла (бхасма или вибхути).

Manish Vyas, born in Gujarat, India (lives in Switzerland) and has been learning Indian music since the age of ten, he learnt Tabla with Ustad Allarakha in Mumbai, where he continued for many years, while he was in charge of the musical department at Osho Ashram in Pune, organizing and performing concerts. He is composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist (Tabla, Harmonium, Santoor, Keyboard) and teacher. Along his lifetime musical path, he has composed hundreds of songs, mainly in the devotional, folk, instrumental, meditative and Sufi genres. He has released more than 20 albums. He offers the perfect blend of Indian genuine sounds merged with a touch of fusion, which makes his music so accessible and appreciated by all type of listeners in the search of authentic Indian sounds. Manish lives currently in Switzerland where he runs a music academy in his spare time. "Important is people know what is what when it comes to sound, Indian music, mantra and Indian spirituality. I share that, what i learned from genuine sources, this is the least respect that Indian music deserves and will always deserve."
