Tras 10 años de carrera en el trance y numerosos logros, YUTA pasó al techno en 2015, lanzó Liquid Drop Groove en 2016 y comenzó a publicar música en formato digital y vinilo, podcasts y streaming de vídeo. Además, ha adoptado una amplia gama de enfoques para maximizar el potencial del sello, incluyendo memorables fiestas al aire libre como Agaitida (Okinawa) y EDEN, el festival indoor SPECTACLE y la serie de colaboraciones Bassiani Tokyo con sellos discográficos extranjeros.

La actividad principal de YUTA es la de DJ, residente en el conocido club VENT de Tokio. Su estilo musical se basa en el techno con deep/trancy e hipnótico/dubby, a veces con breaks y bajo, a veces tribal/acid en house, y se caracteriza por un groove psicodélico y un flujo cinematográfico que crea libremente. En los últimos años, YUTA ha realizado numerosas giras por Asia y ha actuado en el Quarry Stage de Wonderfruit en Tailandia, en los festivales Equation y Retreat en Vietnam, en los clubes SAVAGE y The Observatory en Vietnam, en Zhaodai y WIGWAM en China, en Acadana en Hong Kong, en Vurt en Corea, entre otros. En Europa, en Gare en Oporto, en aboutblank en Berlín, en KHIDI en Tiflis, etc., en festivales como Modem en Croacia y OZORA en Hungría. En Japón, en Rural y Moment, y en el legendario Future Terror de DJ Nobu. Y la nueva aventura continúa en Colombia, Sudamérica.

YUTA también ha proporcionado mezclas de DJ para NTS Radio en el Reino Unido, Monument en Noruega, Illegal Alien en México y más. Además, solo produce unas pocas pistas al año con el maestro modular O-MA.

True to their deep, widescreen approach to both production and live-performing, Parisian outfit Atomic Moog clock in with a helluva sleek and lushly relief’d mix, recorded on the occasion of their latest live performance at Outre Bleu on March 29. Through their releases for the likes of Delsin, Appian, Lowless or Monument, the French duo has been carving a niche for itself at the fringes of the dubbed-out techno tradition and abstract-leaning experimentality. This 90 minutes jaunt into their reverb and delay-heavy imaginarium has us moving across narrow corridors and cathedral-large spaces by turn, exploring the concept of spatialization in dance music under a new, boundary-pushing light. Through focal-shifting jumps between acid-drenched beds of rippling analogue sine waves and sizzling machine circuitry, the constant angle shifts from macro to micro tell a tale of vibrant sound research, not quite picking a side between the dance floor’s sense of purpose and genre-unbound, creative unintentionality.

This next guest is part of a new generation of talent coming from Japan and slowly taking over the world. Cutting her teeth on the dancefloors of Tokyo, imus is a significant and perennial player on her local scene. She’s played at Keep Hush, contributed mixes to NTS Radio and delivered her mentally challenging techno to audiences at DJ Nobu’s Future Terror parties. At the end of 2023, she also launched eulb, an event series sitting at the ‘intersection of machine, band and dance that focuses on the aesthetic aspects of electronic and spiritual sounds’. Inspired by techno, bass and all things experimental, her work pulls heavily from her context at the centre of the Japanese sound, but pushes it further and develops something unique to her own experience. Her sets are large format trips into the strange realms of her mind-altering frequencies, sonorous and full-bodied ripples and beats that explore the fringes of dance music in all of its forms. Monday Off is a vinyl-only psychedelic techno label founded by Mary Yuzovskaya. Known for its mind bending, boundary pushing releases, the label has recently featured the likes of ORBE, JUDAΣ, Mike Parker, CONCEPTUAL, Viels, D-Leria, Blazej Malinowski, Michal Wolski, Xhato, Milena Glowaka and of course Mary herself, plus many many more. A label that ignores fleeting trends and consistently delivers high quality timeless records. 

The mix was of course recorded in all vinyl one take session, where you can expect to hear the kind of heads down techno the label is synonymous for: deep, cerebral and mind-melting - a dedication to authentic, thought-provoking electronic music that transcends the ordinary. This July the label celebrates its 8th anniversary - turn this up extra loud to celebrate.
