Mankind mixes

Mankind's debut EP is now launching under his own Madrapur label.
The two tracks are weaved through by hypnotic, noisy, and occasionally tribal influences. They represent the essence of his musicality and the elements of what he finds the most intriguing in electronic music.

Both of them were written between November 2023 and February 2024 and based upon recordings taken from the fleeting moments of everyday life, augmented by analog instruments.

Our 56th podcast comes from @Mankindddd, who has made his appearance first in 2017 as a member of a new generation of DJs in the Budapest 🇭🇺 nightlife. Since then he founded and contributed to many successful projects such as Pursuit of acid, Tripolar or at the partyseries called Hardboiled. Most recently he has been active as a resident and music curator of the iconic Aether club.

His hypnotic, percussive and often trippy style brought an exciting and much needed breath of fresh air into the electronic music scene of the capital, that propelled him to being one of the most known and acknowledged DJ nationwide.

The first Madrapur Records mix comes from the label head, MANKIND. Recorded at the "Szoba Studio" in Budapest, it's filled with noisy, hypnotic tracks that have been capturing his interest lately. MANKIND is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and head of Madrapur Records, shaping his sound around hypnotic rhythms and textured percussion. Active since 2017, he has contributed to projects like Pursuit of Acid, Tripolar, and Hardboiled, while refining his craft through years of club experience, including a residency at Budapest’s Aether Club.

After shaping Budapest’s underground as an Aether Club resident, Mankind now continues his journey from Berlin. His project Kavarogás—born at the Ozora Dome stage—dives into dubby, minimalist techno, built on steady grooves and spacious textures that slowly pull the dancefloor into a deep, hypnotic flow. He presented the more dub-leaning side of Kavarogás live on Spinning Grounds at Torhaus.

‘Spinning Grounds’ is all about opening grounds - for both newcomers and experienced selectors alike - to spin music outside of club spaces to explore a wide range of genres from house, Detroit, deep house, dub house, ambient, breaks, UK garage, minimal, dub techno to .......
