Mankind Interview - The Map (Edge Radio) 23rd of May 2023

I wrote this piece in 2010. I think. In any case, I found this while rummaging through some old files, and I remembered how much I loved the arrangement. I had a play around with it, mostly testing out different soundfonts, and figured I'd upload it. It does have lyrics, but they're inspired by the Twilight saga, and I only remember a few of them. Besides, I think it's pretty without vocals. 

You Were Worth The Hurt

This is probably a boring listen without the lyrics (and could very well be boring with them), but I've been using FL Studio since May last year, and so I've been experimenting and getting a hang of the software for a while now. I started writing this song back then, and I've only just gotten the track to a point where I think it's finished. I don't have the equipment to record vocals, so it's not finished in that respect, but I like the way it sounds now.

Mankind is the embodiment of human degeneration in image, sound and persona; represented by industrial sounds coupled with powerful Gothic post-punk. The group consists of Dan on bass and vocals and Connor on percussion. Dan's highly effected bass creates catchy melodic bass lines coupled with Connors rhythmic tom patterns and funk inspired big beats. To finish Dan's 3 octave vocal range and lyrics of dark analysis of everday life complete a truly hypnotic Gothic pop sound. The bands live energy is phenomenal and despite being a two piece they easily fill any stage area.
