Here's something just a little bit special...

Ahead of Riverside Festival in Glasgow this coming September we have been blessed with a series of mixes from some of the best and most influential dj's in the city. There is no better place to start really than with Slam, the dj duo extraordinaire who have contributed a lifetime to techno. The pair remain two of the most prominent dj's on the circuit and over the years have established a fierce reputation for their approach to the genre. Their own record label Soma, which they founded alongside Dave Clarke and Glenn Gibbons, has released some of the most crucial music from within the realm of techno and has been a home to musicians like The Black Dog, Surgeon, Deepchord, Daft Punk, Gene Farris, Schatrax, Silicone Soul and many, many more. 

Longstanding residents at the infamous night Pressure the pair have worked alongside some of the biggest and best in the business. However there are stories to be told about their roots as promoters of the Atlantis and their own 'Slam' parties in Glasgow in the 90's. 

As producers the pair continue to push boundaries, releasing music with great consistency, continually managing to reinvent and approach the studio in the pursuit of something new.

Slam: The Ransom Note Mix

There are still first times happening for me in Europe, even after travelling and DJing the continent for almost 25 years now. But I have never ever made it to Cyprus before. So on March 24th it was my very first time on this beautiful island, and it could not have gone any better. The awesome crew of @technohabitsnicosia were such amazing hosts, real outstanding. And what a cool location in the middle of nowhere really. I felt like in the early days of raves. Not to mention the amazing crowd in the Camelot (yes, indeed it looked like a little old English castle). Cyprus, I feel a whole lot of love for all of you there. What an awesome event you put up, I cannot say enough how thankful I am that you invited me and I really hope to be back super soon. Maybe in the summer? So now I am happy to share the 3+ hour set I got to play there with all of you. Today you get the third and last part of the set, hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed playing it. It is filled with loads of upcoming and current CLR releases by the way. Try and spot them.

Our second iteration of ALLURECAST has been created by co-founders of Allure, Arktic (Cooper) and KLIO (Kosta).

In this mix, we aim to illustrate the variety of sounds that our label aims to push in the Australian scene; ranging from hypnotic techno to breaks, crunchy rolling basslines to delicately crafted drum patterns, and a signature darkness that ruminates throughout the mix.

We have sprinkled some forthcoming Allure tracks from our upcoming Various Artists release, from a range of extremely talented local legends whom you will have the pleasure of hearing more from soon!
