Musumeci tapes reissue, with their brutal body music plus, similar to DAF, CHBB and Liaisons Dangereuses, was one of the most acclaimed in the Mannequin Records 2013 productions. So we really happy to unearth for you 3 more recordings from their discography, all recorded live in 1985. 

Mauro Massaglia, founder member and lead synthesizer, describes the band’s aesthetic as “simple music, no solos, new sounds, all played at maximum volume possible.” Something that surely catch the attention of best DJs on earth, starting from TRAXX, the Chicago-based head of Nation Records, who redesign for Mannequin Records a raw live version of 'Tag Fur Tag' with what he described as a "ugly-tape Kode".

Massaglia recalls Musumeci’s live shows as multimedia performances of a confrontational stripe, mixing rough sound collage with provocative visuals. “Our intention was to involve the viewer with two senses: ear and eye,” he remembers. “We loved stupid old black-and-white movies or war images, Berlin in the May of ’45, the Vietnam conflict, corrupt Italians involved into massacres or scandals… in short, all the shit that the human race can produce.”

MNQ 056 CASINO SHANGHAI - L'ACTION MINIMAL 12'' EP (IN AETERNAM VALE REMIX)

Mannequin Records is elated to present a 12’’ EP with two unreleased 1986 tracks of the mexican New Wave band Casino Shanghai, with a killer analog modular remix by In Aeternam Vale on the B Side.
Asking Laurent Prot to rework Casino Shanghai was more than logic. Permeated by a strong mitteleuropean dark pop atmosphere, here emphasized by the french lyrics (“Le Tombeau D'Edgar Poe" is using a poem by the french writer Stephane Mallarmé), Casino Shanghai were the pulse of Mexico City underground scene of the 80’s. The band was founded by Ulalume, Carlos Robledo and Walter Schmidt. Prior to Casino Shanghai, Ulalume was the lead singer of punk band The Casuals & DenseUndergrowth, and both Carlos and Walter were members of the post punk band Size and the more experimental Decibel.
Their first album "Film" for the Comrock/ WEA label was released in December of 1985.
Casino Shanghai was part of a great cultural change in Mexico and its music scene.

Void Vision is a Philadelphia-based electronic project helmed by Shari Vari. It began around 2009 at a time when a wave of synth-revivalists were materializing, but the quality of the songwriting and intense vocals set the band apart from the pack. In a rare instance, Void Vision has managed to combine vintage dance elements with melodic structures, haunting melancholy, and lyrics that have a palpable soul. The songs themselves are dynamic, referencing a cross-section of the last 30 years of electronic music, while simultaneously retaining a uniqueness all their own.

Wierd Records weekly club night in New York, which showcased a variety of talented electronic and coldwave artists, served as an incubator for Void Vision in it’s early stages. After a standout debut performance at the club, they immediately caught the attention of Blind Prophet Records, who consequently released their first 7″ single, ‘In 20 Years’, which received excellent reviews.

Vari has continued performing and recording steadily over the last few years, releasing songs on compilations for various labels, including Rough Trade, and in 2012 the song ‘Everything is Fine’ was selected for Artforum magazine’s ‘Best of 2012′ issue. In 2013, Void Vision toured the West Coast and later that year released a split 12″ with Portland-based band, Vice Device. The first official full-length album, entitled ‘Sub Rosa’ is set to debut on Berlin-based Mannequin Records, followed by a European tour in 2015.

Shari Vari formed Void Vision in 2009 originally as a duo, during the explosion of the new minimal synth and cold wave scene in United States. Sharing the same scene of the Wierd Records associates like Led Er Est, Martial Canterel, Xeno & Oaklander, Automelodi, in 2010 VV released ‘In Twenty Years’ on Blind Prophet (Sean Ragon’s Cult Of Youth record label), receiving also the attention of the Rough Trade dudes, who asked to put out a track for one of their synth wave compilations.
After other split vinyls, tapes and compilations, Mannequin approached Shari with the intention to continue what Wierd Records started, giving a proper shape to her beautiful and youthful dark electronic sound. The result is 10 hypnotic cold analog tracks dominated by the warm and fragile Shari’s voice, some more “pop orientated” some others belonging to the original “cold wave” atmosphere.

“Sub Rosa” is an edition of 400 copies on 160 gram black vinyl and 100 copies on 160 gram white vinyl.

We are really proud to announce the reissue of one of the most important Dutch Wave bands THE ACTOR, with their seminal 1982 tape "EXPLODED VIEW". "In the beginning of the eighties, a new phenomenon emerged: home taping. This way of recording resulted in a lot of noise. But that was less important then getting one’s music out to the public. A well known label for cassette bands in those days was the dutch Trumpett Tapes. They were the first to publish the music of The Actor, who became their top selling cassette band in 1982 and 1983. The Actor’s first release was Exploded View in 1982. The songs – sung both in English and German – often related to fashion, modernism, dancing and appearence. This made The Actor “quite fashionable."

A graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, Tylusis brings a design-driven sensibility to his sonic work, weaving together diverse styles with precision and atmosphere.

His sets move freely across the electronic spectrum from electro and EBM to New Beat and beyond building emotional momentum through shifting moods, tempos, and textures. Whether in clubs, on local internet radio, or deep in rave territory, his selections are immersive, unexpected, and highly intentional.

This mix, recorded for Radio Vilnius and aired on June 9th, 2025, captures his signature sound: fluid, fearless, and rooted in the underground.

Many of the songs on the album reflect on the theme of “HOME/ДІМ” on various emotional levels. They deal with feelings of loss, longing, grief, memory, hope or rediscovery.

KLIKERKLUB would be happy if the album radiates something reminiscent of a warm late summer evening spent with loved ones at the edge of a forest, in the carpathians, a wheat field, a swimming lake or by the sea.

A two-hour vinyl ode dedicated to the golden times of minimal and tech-house of electronic producer, DJ and collector of vinyl records — Andrey Kurokhtin, known as Shine Grooves.
This year Andrey launched the @hanagasumi label — a Japanese word that describes a great variety of flowering trees and translates as «blooming haze». The label has already released the first vinyl and the next one has been announced as well. The other day Shine Grooves is opening a record shop of the same name, based in Yekaterinburg. And Andrey is also a member of the improvisation trio «Ryabina» (@rowanberryspace) and the creative association «Oberton».

«The mix was recorded from vinyls in the one winter evening. I wanted to plunge into the millennium's time, namely  2000. In this mix there are many records from such labels: Force Inc, Kompakt, Traum Schallplatten, Mille Plateaux, Ladomat 2000 - the flagships of the first-class electronics of that time. Of course there are nowaday releases too, for example this fresh test press of the second release from my Hanagasumi label».
