A classic house piano drives the track while Celebrine’s hypnotic vocals adds a melancholic layer. On the flipside Legowelt delivers a haunting remix in his trademark style, while Renkas strips it down and comes up with something that holds the middle between early electro and 90s house music.

Circular Ruins has come up with a piece for us that leaves no doubt as to his exquisite taste for the arts.
We have been following his steps for a while now; from his show at BCR to his own recordings on Portals Editions, this compilation is another clear example of how Marijn, delicately, manages to elevate us, leaving us suspended in space and transcending to the beyond swiftly oscillating from ambient to pagan ritual sounds. Definitely a piece of transcendental musical beauty to listen to in depth.

Nisantashi Primary School are Vlad, Lucy and Mykhaylo from Kiev. This electronic-pop trio embraces weird sounds and holds omnivorous but clearly discerning appetites for mixing disco, funk and dub grooves. Their debut EP is a mix of snappy and moody synth sounds, vintage-tinged bass lines and gritty rhythms.

The selection of tracks is a showcase of moods and influences: from the feverish and psychedelic "Mr. Fingers" with Fumaça Preta's Alex Figueira on drums, to the nocturnal dancefloor gem “Hills”. Hints of dance records from 80’s NYC, synth-based disco and krautrock come through, but an eastern european immediacy and faux-débutant approach brings its own flavor to the table.

While dance music from Kiev might seem surprising, what do we really know about this city's energy? From the place where so many things are happening these days, maybe it’s time to see something else unfold.

Mannequin is real proud to bring you after almost 30 years one of the best electronic Cold Wave bands from Italy, already included in the much acclaimed Danza Meccanica - Italian Synth Wave 1982-1987 compilation. 

Janitor Of Lunacy were an Italian New Wave electronic band, active in Brescia from 1981 to 1986, composed by Kovre, Claudio Asserini and Gabriele Farina. With this line up, JOL produced a demo tape in 1983 entitled 'Crimes On The Dancefloor", which was very well reviewed by the italian music press. Thanks to such great feedbacks, the band was choosed for various compilation of the era, including VM, Komakino and Magnetique, playing many live shows in historic clubs like Xenon in Florence or Odissea 2001 in Milano, sharing the stage with Weimar Gesang and some others Supporti Fonografici related bands.In 1986 JOL entered in studio for recording their first full-lenght for this label, album publicized by various magazine but that never saw the light of the day, due to artistic divergences. The band broke up shortly after.
