Mannequin Records - Tracks

Active in various scenes since the 90’s, from days as a grafitti artist, to the emergence of techno in Europe and buying his first Akai 950 and Atari ST-1040, Milan-based Andrea Riberti is a live artist and producer with his roots cemented in early rave culture, drawing from the wake of Post Punk, Industrial and Body Music. 
As a project, Unconscious surfaced in 2013 to further experiment within electronic music, acting as an outlet to communicate raw, post-industrial sounds.
Earlier works under the alias were aimed within the techno field, with traces of EBM, such as 2016’s “Codex Gigas” EP on Berlin-based Advanced, and 2017’s sophomore album “Chaos Theory” on Moscow based, NEN Records. Proceeding releases on SARIN’s X-MG, Marc Ash’s Blacksilk, Berlin-based Instruments of Discipline, AREA Z and Detriti Records, began to define an evolving course, closely identifying within a new wave of EBM, cutting raw and nostalgic sounds with sharp modernity.
Unconscious’ live and hybrid performances are aimed at the fully body, moving dancefloors with a charged and sonorous strain of dark electronics operating on the fringes of body techno, acid, wave and italo.

Philipp Otterbach is a German artist, DJ, and electronic music producer known for his experimental and atmospheric approach to sound.
His musical journey began in the underground scene of Düsseldorf, where he became involved with the influential club Salon des Amateurs—a space recognized for its avant-garde take on club music. It was there that Otterbach developed his distinct style, one that prioritizes emotional storytelling over conventional dancefloor functionality.
His productions often feature analog synths, field recordings, guitars, primal percussion, and ambient effects, forming dense and cinematic sound collages. Listening to his work feels like entering a sonic dreamscape—rich in mood, memory, and quiet tension. There's a strong narrative quality to his music, as if each track were part of an imaginary film score.

The artist continues his ascent to the music echelon. ‘Titan’ are futuristic party hit which skillfully draw from gothic dance and electro body music. The title track has the most attitude. His breaks down into a beautiful tension waves of rising paranoia with a sparkling bass sequences and meaner dark sounds. This is a perfect for underground strobe nights.

Next one 'Quantum' is a glossy sci-fi electro cut with doom lead pad and retro chords. Broken drums and pixelated rippling synths make for an unsettling listen that is from another world entirely. Late night twinkles and a cold extremity of outer space here.

Episode 61 was transmitted June 2025 and is one hour of dark music from (dark) ambient to more doom and ritual kind of soundscapes...

Originally self-released as a 7’’ in 1982, Plath release is definitely one of the obscure gems of the Italian underground.
Plath were a duo from Prato, formed in 1982 by Silvia Innocenti (voice, bass guitar) and Fabrizio Lucarini (synth, drum machine). Plath were influenced by Throbbing Gristle and early Cabaret Voltaire works, moving in between two essential thematic actions: first, the constant search of a sound which aims to reflect the current reality as they were interpretating it and, second, the constant exposure of their anarchist ideological thinking against the established political and social system.
While the A-Side includes the original single in full, with the classic ‘I Am Strange Now’, recently unearthed by Alessio Natalizia/Not Waving in his monumental ‘Mutazione’ compilation released by Strut Records in 2013, the B-side instead contains a killer percussive edit of Alessandro Adriani made for the most crazy mental dancefloors..

Mannequin Records is really proud to announce the 12’’ release of the Dutch Industrial band Zombies Under Stress. Started in 1984 as an industrial/electronic one-man project, lately expanding as a 7 persons multimedia collective, the band mainteined always during their career a pure industrial approach, through the use of analog synthesizers, microphones, effects and distorted acoustic sounds.

For this single we have selected 4 killer tracks for you: ‘Liberation’ and ‘Stalin’ from their 1985 cassette ‘Fanaticism & Hysteria’, this last one also presented in a “Seven Sisters of Putin” remix form, plus on the b-side the killer slow industrial-techno ‘Message’ from the cassette ‘Matrix Machinations’ (1996).

If you want to approach the true 80's industrial mentality then you are in the right place.

Harshly edged and unforgiving, title track 'The Healer' conjures all manner of sinister sonics over its 9 minute duration. Searing 303s run white hot and caustic atmospheres thicken and intensify with ominous growls of overdriven bass and distorted vocal transmissions. Drums increase in ferocity, evolving from stripped-back and skeletal to aggressive and unrelenting, thrashing violently as the track reaches its apex. Something that stands out is the clarity of the mix: elements that might be cumbersome or cacophonous are easily heard, all the while managing to retain Fallbeil's intended menace.

Originally released in 1990 on Doremix Records, Techno Bert was the studio project of Robert Passera and Stefano Cundari, co-owner of Memory Records and mastermind behind some italo disco classic names like Hipnosis, Koto, Faxe. Stefano Cundari unfortunately died of cancer on the same year of the release.

"Neue Dimensionen" was developed on Siouxsie & The Banshees's well-known guitar riff of 'Happy House', in a techno crescendo, where the duo would have enjoyed inserting as many samples as possible by stopping only when the capacity of the sampler Akai S1000 memory would be full. While Cundari cared for the sounds from the 48-channel analogue bench and assigned modular effects to the tracks, in studio there was also the musician Stefano Carrara who piloted the keyboards and the Notator installed on the Atari computer. The couple started the work by sampling the Human League "Being Boiled" groove, and built on harmony and melody inspired by Siouxsie & The Banshees with a Jupiter synth to which they added a low reinforcement obtained with a Roland TB-303. The drum set was based on Roland Tr-909 samples. The sample of the voice comes from "Herrmann Hiess Er" by Nina Hagen, cutting and pasting vocal fragments all around the track, from which they got the name 'Neue Dimensionen'. 

Even though it was distributed by Flying Records, only the most attentive clubs talked about Techno Bert single. Many discovered it the following year through the Belgian press on Target that circulated in almost all of Europe, or through the Spanish version of Spitfire.Even without big sales numbers and without any radio passage, the song continue to survive by virtue of a subtly underground connotation.
