Bugged Out turns 30 next year, and this mix is made up of 30 records which represents each of those years from 1994 to 2023.

Myself, Johnno and Lemmy from Bugged Out all reflected on various points in the clubs history and the artists who have helped shape it, and chose records which felt are a representation of the sound of the club, not just historically, but where it stands now. 

Pulling together music from different eras and sounds was a bit of a challenge, and whilst some may not be the biggest track of their respective year - a few will be seen as classics and a healthy amount are perhaps obscure in relation - but to my ears they still sound as brilliant now as they did upon release. 

In a bizarre twist of fate, the oldest record from 1994 is mixed in with the newest from this year, which wasn't intentional. Clocking in at 2 and a half hours, the mix was recorded live in a single take, here in London.

London-based Andy Faisca, best known for chart-topping single Shooting Love and remixes for Vitalic, Two Door Cinema Club, and Scissor Sisters as one half of Mustang, has cemented his status as a pioneer in dance music. His energetic house remix takes "DIVA" to the dance floor with a punchy bass and reminiscent '90s piano keys. DJ Motorola's hypnotic, dreamy, yet rhythmic rework of Diva is one of a kind.

The EP's refreshing musical blend features both the original song and a slowed-down version, making it a powerful statement of diversity, in line with the very essence of “DIVA”.

Assigning a specific genre to Mannequine might be challenging, but the Swiss producer duo is most at home in the Nu-Disco scene. Although this term might feel a bit outdated, they've significantly influenced the genre. Their connections with artists like "The Magician", "Moullinex", "Xinobi", and others have helped them carve out a name in the international music market. Their breakthrough came when the English independent label "Continental Records" released their debut single, "Bombay Night Story," in 2013, in collaboration with the Swiss hip-hop trio Jas Crw. The music video premiered on Vice & Thump, earning Mannequine spots on prestigious Spotify Editorial playlists worldwide. They've been consistently remixing and releasing tracks with Continental Records ever since.
After numerous club nights and DJ gigs, including events with the label Kitsuné, Mannequine is now refocusing on music production. Despite their last release, a remix for Benjamin Amaru & Shelter 12 in December 2020, still resonating, including being named "Song of the Week" on SRF 3/Virus, they have several new singles in the pipeline. They are eager to share these with the world, with a new music video also in the works. With their 10th anniversary approaching, Mannequine is poised for an exciting future, driven by the fresh energy and determination that 2024 promises.
