Scottish trio The Twilight Sad are reissuing their exhilarating debut album Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters for Record Store Day on Saturday 19 April 2014 through FatCat Records.

To celebrate, the band are giving away a free download of their recent Paisley Abbey show with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. You can access the download here: http://www.fat-cat.co.uk/thetwilightsad/

The special intimate performance was part of The Spree Festival in Paisley, Scotland. Legendary conductor with the RSNO John Logan arranged the orchestration alongside classic The Twilight Sad tracks 'The Wrong Car', 'Sick', 'The Room' and 'Cold Days From The Birdhouse'. 

The 500 capacity venue sold out in less than an hour, with the band playing as a three-piece to give the orchestra as much space as possible.

The Twilight Sad will be performing Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters in full at the following towns:

"Winter" is here! – the teaser track from Maps & Atlases' forthcoming second album Beware and Be Grateful finds the band’s tight kinetic rhythms matched to catchy, asymmetrical pop. 

"The initial inspiration to write the song 'Winter' came on a freezing cold evening during the Chicago winter," says frontman Dave Davison. "The song contrasts memory and the perspective of winter as a season of possibility and creativity with the bleak, stillness of winter nights in the Midwest."

Following last year's hugely successful album No One Can Ever Know: The Remixes, The Twilight Sad have teamed up with fellow Scots Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat for a split single which sees the jazz pianist and former Arab Strap frontman produce a low key, piano led reading of Alphabet, the opening track from No One Can Ever Know.

On the other side, The Twilight Sad have re-imagined ‘(If You) Keep Me In Your Heart’ from Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat’s brilliant album Everything’s Getting Older.
