These electronic songs were composed by my brother Jimmy somewhere between 2004 and 2010.  He composed many songs on Fruity Loops.  Some of them are really good, IMHO.  These songs were ripped from a scratched CD, which is why you hear some annoying skips on most songs.  The names of the songs and the album name are my own creation.  Jimmy is no longer with us, so I took the liberty of naming the songs.  The first song made me think of a clown contemplating a crime, so I just went with that theme.  Of course, you could name the songs totally differently, but they need names, so this is what I  came up.  I hope to one day reproduce these songs so you can hear them without scratches.

Jimmy is no longer with us because he committed suicide.  It's so sad when someone ends their own life.  Of course, if he's your brother, it's a lot more sad.  It shouldn't make it more sad just because the individual is talented, but since Jimmy was musically talented, it makes me think about how life could've turned out differently.  Jimmy was struggling with his career.  He had a bachelor's degree in biochemistry, but he had trouble holding on to a good job.  He had bi-polar and struggled with anxiety, depression, and eventually, paranoia.  But he never got any professional help for these problems.

At one time, he was  considering pursuing a degree in music.  I'm sure he could've succeeded in such a program.  Who knows how things would've turned out?  Maybe his compositional abilities and electronic music production skills would have been enhanced to the point where he could've made a living off of music.  Maybe some of his electronic compositions could've been used in video games, commercials, movies, or sold in the big electronic music industry.  Maybe some of his beats could've been sold to up-and-coming Atlanta rappers, where we're from.  Who knows.  I really wish I hadn't discouraged him from pursuing such a degree.  I considered it impractical.  But even if he had gone into debt, and struggled to rake in a big income with a musical career, I think he would've felt more fulfilled.  He really was gifted in music.  I think if financial pressures didn't restrict him, and he had put even more time dedicated to his craft, he could've succeeded, even if he only generated a modest income teaching bass guitar and/or drum lessons.  Sure wish we would've loved him more.  Of course, it's not all our fault.  Jimmy also had responsibility.  But he was really, really sad and his anxiety spiraled out of control to the point where he had gone mad.  If we would've loved him more, he'd still be here.  But you can't change the past.  You can change the future, though.  So if you have a loved one who struggles with depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues, reach out.  Don't forget about them.  They need your love, and they want your love, even if they express otherwise.

These four songs were recorded by my late brother Jimmy Glover, the bassist and singer, and two of his friends, Joey, the lead guitarist (and sometimes singer), and the drummer, who we believe also had a name starting with a J :-)  It's definitely funky.  I saw them play live twice--good shows.  At one time, I think they were thinking of calling themselves "The Glover Set Express", but I can't remember what they eventually decided on, so I just went with "Three Funky J's".  I found this CD in an old CD case that I hadn't seen in years... enjoy, fam.
