You OMG!!! I have joined the push brigade! Push is a work interface for Ableton Live Music Studio. In the past I have used Reason to make my music due to its old skool interface. I have used Live for performance arrangement for ever... but never composed in it. Have had a very long debate with peers about the next step to music composition and have found Push. What absolute joy!! 

It might also be noted that my composition is made for live performance...yes that mixdown was done live in one take, composing like this gives me the ability to really push the mix and performance angle.
Pretty nice for use of a new program……don't think I could have done it without the Push interface for creating workflows. Never quite knew how I was going to make the switch from Reason to Live for composition. Push definitely solved that.

The Operating Theatre
Dr Imperial and the Metric System (DIMS) is two Sydney based DJ/Producers who have been composing and playing experimental electronic techno and dance music for more than 20 years. The result of this collaboration? Highly infectious music.

Generating the Pulse
DIMS don’t listen to the stereotype. 
Instead, they prefer funky, full frequency intelligent music – that just happens to make you dance. Influences come from far and wide, but are often backed by a strong beat. 
When performing live, DIMS play with a minimal set up comprising of a turntable, dual laptops and MIDI keyboard. DIMS have been known to perform inhumane experiments on their private zoo of analogue beasts. 
Budget and stage area permitting, a fully fledged freak show is provided by the DIMS break dance crew.

Behind the Masks
DIMS vast experience in live performance is backed by many releases on both vinyl and CD. DIMS is dedicated to Australian dance music and strongly supports Australian artists of all genres. A member of the first release from Clan Analogue electronic music collective, DIMS doesn’t believe in dancing to its own tune – but promoting others as well.
