Highlighting the ever-evolving sound of the label, Anjunabeats is proud to welcome Tinlicker for their first single outing.

Bringing a dance floor sensibility to the deeper end of the electronic spectrum, the Dutch duo Jordi van Achthoven and Micha Heyboer have courted the attention of global labels and tastemakers since breaking out in 2013. Prolific musicians with backgrounds in dubstep and pop production, their journey so far has seen them release on the likes of Mau5trap, Armada, Sotto Voce and Anjunadeep - with an a eclectic array of DJ support from Above & Beyond to Oliver Heldens, Tiësto to Yotto.

Able to turn their hand to deep house, techno and electro, the pair have reworked the likes of Lane 8 and Deadmau5; their stunning update of Reflekt ‘Need To Feel Loved’ becoming a sought after mix among fellow DJs over the last 12 months.

Having played every stop of the Anjunabeats 17 date North American tour this Spring, their first single on the label partners them with Run Rivers (Chris James) for ‘Lost’. With previous collaborations including DJ Shadow and Joe Ashworth, Chris adds a yearning quality to the rolling grooves of ‘Lost’.

TInlicker explains how the collaboration came about, “The first track we tried to make with Chris just didn't want to succeed and then suddenly out of the blue this gem appeared. The power of almost giving up, but persevering comes through in the song”.

With summer shows including festival sets at Creamfields, Tomorrowland and CRSSD (CA), we look forward to discovering more about the Tinlicker universe in the coming months.

Fusing Jordi’s polished pop and house production with Micha’s deep sonic palette, honed as a member of drum and bass group Black Sun Empire, Tinlicker has created groove-heavy progressive since 2013. Supported by Above & Beyond, Tiësto and Armin van Buuren, their electro-tinged sound has been championed by both mau5trap and Anjunabeats. Reworks of Lane 8, Deadmau5 and Reflekt’s iconic ’Need To Feel Loved’ have become indispensable tools for the world’s biggest DJs.

A comprehensive insight into the Tinlicker sound, ’This Is Not Our Universe'; features heartfelt songwriting, wistful house grooves and vibrant progressive interludes - a showcase for two innovative producers who are leading the pack.

Igniting dancefloors with ‘Lost’ feat. Run Rivers earlier this summer, the second single from the album is a long-awaited remix of alt-J’s ‘Breezeblocks’. A platinum-selling hit, the original has been streamed over 320 million times on Spotify since its release on 2012’s 'An Awesome Wave LP’.

“We’re both fans of alt-J. We had the idea of creating a completely different and unique vibe from the original, and the track has been a highlight in our sets over the past months. We are also very happy that alt-J themselves were happy for us to release this version.”

The Tinlicker remix of ‘Breezeblocks’ is available to download and stream now.

Tinlicker’s ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ will be released on the 27th of September, available on streaming, download, CD and vinyl. The CD, fittingly, comes in a collector’s edition tin case.

Matt Fax brings brand new single 'Abenaki' to Colorize. 

Having just played the Progressive Stage at renowned Dutch festival Electronic Family as well as headlining Oval Space in London for the first in a series of Colorize events, Matt Fax is in electric form in 2019. 'Abenaki' is a polished and sharp production and a taste of what the French producer has in store for the upcoming Colorize Compilation series 'Colorscapes' out this September. 

Spaced out vocals pulsate over glistening idiophones and a razor sharp synth bass, with Matt Fax proving once again he's one of the most intriguing artists in the world of Progressive House.

Finding air time with the likes of Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, Jason Bentley on KCRW and The Aston Shuffle on Australia’s triple j for their moody dancefloor rework of ‘Breezeblocks’ by alt-J, Tinlicker reveal the final single ahead of their debut album release, ‘This Is Not Our Universe’.

Returning to the soulful laidback house music that made them such a beloved act on Anjunadeep, Jordi and Micha are reunited with Australian singer Thomas Oliver, the voice behind ‘Nothing Without You’ and ‘Soon You’ll Be Gone’.

"Thomas Oliver has been a friend of the family ever since he appeared on Black Sun Empire's 'All Is Lost' for the first time. Together we wrote 'Soon You’ll Be Gone’ and 'Nothing Without You’, so we definitely wanted another track in collaboration with him on our album. This tune has a very nice feel-good vibe for us, and that is mainly due to Thomas' vocals. We tried to make the instrumental elements fit around it as well as possible. "

Tinlicker’s ‘This Is Not Our Universe’ will be released on vinyl, limited edition CD tin and digitally on the 27th of September. First heard at Above & Beyond’s annual Miami Music Week party at the Old RC Cola Plant way back in 2017, ‘Hideaway’ emerges from the shadows, a fitting title for an elusive set opener from the globetrotting trio of Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki.

Teasing the masses once more, Above & Beyond opened their storied Group Therapy 250 set at The Gorge with ‘Hideaway’. The track subsequently became a regular feature at arena shows across the UK and US during the band’s record breaking ‘Common Ground’ tour. An assertive, cavernous, melodic burner that perfectly set the tone for a very big night of dancing in a very big room.

2018 came and went, still no release! The keyboard detectives on the band’s official Reddit theorised and extrapolated potential reasons. Then comes Anjunabeats Volume 14, the band’s popular two-disc compilation series. There’s ‘Hideaway’, sitting alongside another brand new A&B original, ‘Anjunafamily’.

Many tracks on the album have the same character but are still different from each other. A nice reflection of how we are as people.”

Two of Anjunabeats’ most prolific talents return, both riding high on the ABGT350 wave as ilan Bluestone & Spencer Brown join forces for a formidable new EP.

Named after one of ilan's resident felines, the one-two punch of ‘Pooperling’ fuses together Spencer’s progressive sound with ilan’s infamous ‘tronce’ plucks, whilst the title track ‘Gatekeeper’ - a crowdpleaser from both ilan and Spencer's gargantuan ABGT350 sets - continues in similar fashion whilst embracing more haunting elements.
