Flamenco is a form of Spanish folk music and dance from the region of Andalusia in southern Spain. It includes cante (singing), toque (guitar playing), baile (dance) and palmas (handclaps). First mentioned in literature in 1774, the genre grew out of Andalusian and Romani music and dance styles, Flamenco is often associated with the Romani people of Spain (Gitanos) and a number of famous flamenco artists are of this ethnicity.

از لاله زار که می گذرم, زخمی تر از ترانه ام
تشنه ی محکومیتٍ یه حکم عاشقانه ام
از لاله زار که می گذرم, حسرت گوله با منه

از لاله زار که می گذرم, می رسه سالٍ ما شدن
سال نفس تنگی عشق, سال زمین خوردن من
از لاله زار که می گذرم, زخمای کهنه وا میشن
دوباره کوچه ها پر از, مردمٍ هم صدا میشن
دوباره بوی نفت و خون, دوباره تابستون داغ
میتینگای تک نفره, دوباره سایه ی چماق
وقتی همه بادبادک ها, بنده ی حزبٍِ باد شدن
عربده های مُرده باد, یک شبٍ زنده باد شدن
ما توی پستوی عطش, فیلمٍ رهایی می دیدیم
توی تئاتر زندگی, گریه مونُ می دزدیدیم
