Chances are that if you were into club culture or nightlife during the 90’s and the early part of the 2000’s you were dancing and moving to the sounds of DJ Manolo & DJ Souhleris. They were responsible for providing the soundtrack to your weekends if you frequented globally acclaimed venues such as Avalon (now House of Blues) on Lansdowne Street and Roxy (now Royale) on Tremont Street.
Both DJ’s met in the early 90’s while working at competing venues but their passion for music brought them together. Soon after they decided to team up on Friday nights at Avalon. Typically a challenging night in the nightlife industry, their combined talents, personality and ability to select music that most dj’s would either overlook or not have palette to identify, is what sent this night skyrocketing to the top and it became the night people put at the top of their list if you were looking to listen to high energy pulsating beats, with melodic riffs and ethnic flavor.
This duo took chances when it came to programming music that paid high dividends in their collective careers. They quickly developed not only a large, loyal and diverse following, but also became highly sought after talent in the New England area and abroad, where they were regularly asked to play overseas in countries like Greece, Spain, UK, etc.
Although they both pursued other interests, they never stopped DJ’ing and being active in nightlife. Souhleris still resides in Boston and is one of the most sought after dj’s when it comes to special events that require someone who can take control of a room regardless of what the musical requirements might be. 
Peter is also an accomplished real estate investor, architect, designer and all around visionary when it comes to real estate, so it’s no surprise that A&E came calling a few years back and he soon embarked on a new chapter where he brought that same work ethic that made him successful in the nightlife industry. He’s now the co-star of the hit TV show “Flipping Boston” on A&E, Peter’s schedule is really demanding so he is very selective when it comes to which DJ events he commits to, as it’s all about the quality, having fun and rocking the crowd.
Manolo moved to New Jersey in 2004 where he continued to grow and explore new grounds in nightlife by opening up an upscale lounge in Philadelphia where he booked global house talent on a weekly basis. During that time Manolo was also involved in music production where he went on to remix tracks for artists such as Celene Dion, Mary J Blige, Cindy Lauper and Erasure. He quickly gained a reputation as someone who had an ear for talent so Showboat Casino came calling and he was hired to oversee operations at venues such as House of Blues and Foundation Room. His reputation quickly landed him at world renown nightlife hotspot, The Pool inside Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City, where 4000 clubbers would frequent every weekend. Under his direction The Pool was awarded the coveted “Mega Club of The Year in 2011”.
Manolo & Souhleris have become synonymous with Boston nightlife. It’s not often that this dynamic duo gets together, but when they do, it’s special and always a musical journey as they fuse classics and crowd favorites as well as some of today’s massive tracks, but only in a way that Manolo & Souhleris can.
