Wenn man in Berlin über die Torstraße fährt, dann fallen zwei Läden auf: Moebel Horzon – dort gibt es nur ein Regal – und, nicht weit davon entfernt, Horzon Wanddekoration. Dort gibt es Wanddekorationsobjekte, deren Preis sich jeden Monat verdoppelt. Der aktuelle Preis liegt bei 32.000 Euro. Beide Läden gehören dem Unternehmer und Autor Rafael Horzon.

Rafael Horzon hat in den letzten Jahren spektakuläre Unternehmen gegründet. Die Trennungsagentur Separitas, ein Fachgeschäft für Apfelkuchen, eine Wissenschaftsakademie und eine Fachbuchhandlung in der es nur ein einziges Buch gab – nämlich sein eigenes mit dem Namen “Das weiße Buch”.

Nie wird klar, ob dies alles eine Kunstperformance, Kommerz, Quatsch oder Ernst ist. Nie weiß man, ob Rafael Horzon eine Kunstfigur, ein echter Typ oder eine Mischung ist. Und so ist es auch im Interview im Podcast. 

Ich muss zugeben: Es war ein etwas mühsames Interview, weil ich während des Gesprächs nie wusste, ob Rafael Horzon die Wahrheit sagt, wenn er zum Beispiel erzählt, dass er in seinem Arbeitsalltag Latein übt und Kreuzworträtsel löst, sich dann aber widerspricht. Er behauptet zwar, dass er immer die Wahrheit sagt und dass es ja, das Verrückte ist, dass alles stimmt, was er erzählt.

Ich habe mich nach dem Interview gefragt, ob es denn überhaupt wichtig ist, immer echt, immer wahrhaftig zu sein. Und wer ist das schon? Definitiv gibt Rafael Horzon sehr ungewöhnliche Antworten, die vielleicht nicht wahr, aber dennoch sehr unterhaltsam und inspirierend sind. Und darum geht es im Hotel Matze ja.
