Latvian Alisa Scetinina aka Gaisma teams up with Rework for an exciting new collaborative project, Sceti. They debut on the Exlove label with a fantastic four-track EP of song-led synth disco. Scetinina is a former ballet dancer at the Stuttgarter Ballet, and now an accomplished vocalist. She fronts this powerful new outfit which is produced by Playhouse and Exlove artists Rework aka Daniel Varga & Michael Kuebler. Between them, they cook up a unique vibe that straddles the lines between disco, new wave, indie, electro and synthpop. They do so with vintage synths, minimal drum machine patterns and dreamy soundscape-like vocals from Alisa. 
Our pick here is fantastic 'Feel Alive,' a deep-cut future-retro jam that oozes attitude. The deadpan vocals and stiff bassline make for an irresistible groove.

Frank Butters presents: Cult of Glamour - Make It Right (Original)(MMM#05)

Debut Ep of Andrem, the new solo project of Andrés Gomez, better known for being 50% of Mexican duo FLXXX, who released two years ago what still is one of Playpal's favorite Ep's on the catalogue and has also released music under the alias 'Ands Mega'. The title track of the Ep, 'Ascensión', is a dancefloor banger, club tested throughout this year and as is often the case nowadays, it’s reminiscent of the 90’s but leaves you feeling it’s a ahead of it’s time. 'Side B' 'Vendetta' is a dub and dark mental track that will do some damage both in the early hours of the night and the morning. On remix duties we have Rigopolar, whose track 'Numbskin' on Play Pal's five year compilation was one of the most charted, and this time he has delivered an absolute killer remix of 'Ascensión', with endless synth mental sequences. Next up is french producer daWad, part of the well known La Dame Noir crew, who also released a very welcome Ep on Play Pal alongside his partner Mokic. He’s taken the track in a completely different direction but equally effective on the dancefloor, with a broken beat constantly pushing the track from beginning to end. Play Pal Music honcho, Teniente Castillo, turned 'Vendetta' into an orgy of guitars, both electric and acoustic, with a fat synth as the conductive element throughout the entire track, whilst retaining the 'suspense' film flavour of the original version. Then finally we're happy to welcome to the label Lithuanian duo Roe Deers, who took the darkness of 'Vendetta' a step further, adding a sick arpeggio when you least expect it, making it one of our favourite remixes.

Rave-loving rule breakers Younger Than Me take the reins on the next Nein Records release, with Curses and Man2.0 stepping up to remix.
Younger Than Me is the duo of Marcello Carozzi and Francesco Mingrino, a pair that have a recognisable sound linking old rave and newer influences from the European club scene. They are resident DJs at monthly party Futura and have also played cult spots like Salon Zur Wilden Renate, BAR Rotterdam, Griessmuehle and many more. They already released with Bordello in Parigi,
Relish Records and Tusk Wax and are co-founders of the 90’s Wax project.
The superb remix is from Curses, a Berlin based artist known for blending rock & roll with the darker side of disco. In his hands ‘No regrets’ becomes a strobe lit mix of EBM, New Wave, post-punk and psychedelic synths that jerks your body into action.
This is refreshingly unapologetic rave and techno for those who like maximal club music.

Following onwards from the first two volumes, Fantastic Twins' Microdosing imprint returns with its third various artists EP, featuring the likes of Borusiade, Zillas On Acid, Scott Fraser and Cooper. We've the pleasure of airing the latter his contribution in its entirety here today. Titled 'Phase 0', the track embarks on an exploration through morphing rhythmics, interstellar soundscapes and zoned out minimalism. One for the dance floor droids.
