Amalgamating influences from religious Brasilian folk music, balearic, cosmic / downtempo and heavy percussive styles, Elevator Edit #7 encapsulates the ethos of London's Elevator East clubnight in just under seven minutes of no-holds-barred, heads-down eclectic chug. The project began in February 2018, having recently celebrated its second birthday, and has gained a reputation for inviting a heady mix of young new talent and underground legends to unique spaces in East London, as well as taking the Elevator crew to gigs across France, Italy and the Netherlands. 
Sitting deep in the Amazon jungle, Elevator Edit #7 is a capoeira invocation-turned-cosmic chugger from Elevator East man Mikey Sibson, encapsulating the ethos of the clubnight, Available for download on Bandcamp.

Catz N' Dogz underground outlet STEP is well known for giving space to some of the most eclectic artists to showcase their infinite talents. The label so far has released the likes of Baltra, DJ Steaw, Eduardo De La Calle, Analog Roland Orchestra and Panthera Krause to name but a few and this summer is ready to drop yet another huge record, coming from usual suspect Das Komplex.

The Polish producer already figures amongst the artists to have given music to STEP but his music is also showing up on DJ Harvey's' Mercury Rising' compilation, Oficyna Transatlantyk,Mireia Records and has been played by the likes of the late great Andrew Weatherall, Axel Boman and many more.

'Miazsz' EP comprises of 5 groove-driven, relentless down tempo and dreamy cuts, showcasing the wide musical knowledge and the diversely inspired aesthetic of Das Komplex' sonic textures. The EP takes us on a journey through genres, from House to Disco, and never fails to leave its mark.

If there's anything to make this joyless summer brighter then surely it's a new Afterlife release. One man Balearic machine Steve Miller does it again with the Summer Of Love EP; four cuts steeped in accomplished musicianship ranging from jazzy soulful touches to moodier, bluesey affairs. Here we feature 'Fou', a smoky, skankin' little number with playful congas to offset it's edgier synths.  Sunnier climes might be out of reach for many of us this year, but all you really have to do is let Afterlife take you there.
