Who is the singer? Wasnt there an original song only in the singers voice and not much music? I remeber oistening to it years ago but havent been able to find that on youtube again :(

Narayana is the Vedic Supreme God in Hinduism, venerated as the Supreme Being in Vaishnavism. He is also known as Vishnu and Hari and is venerated as Purushottama or Supreme Purusha in Hindu sacred texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, the Vedas and the Puranas.

Nara means humans and Ayana means shelter so Narayana means the shelter of all human beings. The Narayana Upanishad reads: Om Namo Narayanayeti mantra upasaka Vaikuntha bhuvanam gamishyati, or "Whosoever chants the 'Om Namo Narayana' mantra reaches the ultimate goal Vaikuntha planet where one attains eternal blissful life."

About the Chalisa:
The Hanuman Chalisa is a 40 verse hymn written by Tulsi Das, to the Monkey God, Hanuman. Hanuman is the ultimate Devotee. His entire existence is devoted to serving Ram, to serving the Divine.  It is said that Ram asked Hanuman what he is and Hanuman said "When I forget who I am, I serve You and when I remember who I am, You and I are one. 
When we sing to Hanuman this can help us remember who we really are: One with the Divine. Hanuman is a reminder that truly all we need to do is to serve and love one another.
