On My Way

       I fell in love with this song by talented Sa Lone vocalist Shady Baby on my last visit to Sierra Leone in 2011. I did this instrumental version to highlight the beautiful melody he created. Shady Baby is most welcome to visit ManPuss Studio where songs can be arranged rerecorded by Santigi Becko and released on the Nomoli record label.

A very special tribute to Or Bangura (RIP) local entrepreneur, friend to all youths in the Bo Town community, No.1 supporter of the great Super Combo whose home town it was. This song is also in memory of members of the band no longer alive:  Alimamy,  Buckari Lassan,  Sidique, Sulay, Sir Bobwin Amara, papa Millo Ogoo, Colico last but not least the owner  manager of the band Sammy Koubaisi  without whom the band would never have existed. I developed my `Axmanship` in African music as I was the rhythm guitarist in this band when this song was composed.

This is my arrangement of Bridge Over Congo by Congolese Guitarist maestro Papa Noel. As a 13 yr old, I was taught this song by the late Tom Brown a brilliant guitar player from Monrovia Liberia living in Freetown at the time. Won`t forget you Tom.

Bric & Lace- two beautiful young black singers. I was in Dakar when they released this melodic single. I just could `t resist doing an instrumental version of it with lots of keyboards & synthesizer. They later traveled over to Freetown and did a concert.
