First of all i love the voice of the hugely talented Adele. Then it 's because i thought that no one has approached it that way. I 've added a nineties piano, a pumping bassline & some summer congas, trying to give it a more discoey, kinda balearic, feeling. I hope you 'll like it & that you 'll give it a couple of spins.

Manos Hadjidakis is a legendary Greek composer and "T'Asteri Tou Voria" (from Elia Kazan movie "America America") is one of his most famous songs with lyrics written by his long time partner and poet Nikos Gkatsos. A couple of years ago i accidentally found out Nalyssa Green's beautiful cover version, girly & mature & fresh at the same time. That's how i've started working on it and here's a snippet to give you a taste beacuse on this very day (June 15th) 23 years ago Manos Hadjidakis died and it is my way of honouring him...

The Boy is an Greek underground pop/rock artist - formerly 1/2 of the band Mary & The Boy - based in Athens and he recently released the album 'When You Grow Up Your Heart Dies', which is the soundtrack to the theatrical play 'Luv', by New Zealand's Thomas Sainsbury. 'Stroke My Dick A Bit' was included there and,despite it's provocative title, the song is all about loneliness & the deep need of that special someone in our lives. For this MANSTA edit/remix of mine, i've added to the deep & moody original some slick beats, a 303 & some breakdowns here & there, making it more dancefloor friendly. I love this track so much so i really hope that you'll like this!

Two years after my last greek MANSTA edit for Eleftheria Arvanitaki's "To Miden" (Ελευθερία Αρβανιτάκη - Το Μηδέν) here's another feel-good party tune, carnival style! Yiannis Parios (Γιάννης Πάριος) is one of the most famous Greek singers and his "Symvivasmous Den Kano" (Συμβιβασμούς Δεν Κάνω) song from way back in 1976 is one of his lost forgotten gems. Along with my friend DiPap we've done a latin house mix of it, carnival style!
