Rooted in Kelowna, BC, the duo of Makemdef (Justin MacLean) and Jodie B blend live instrumentation with electronic production, pulling from hip hop, blues, phonk, and soul. The result is music that’s heavy with bass, laced with harmonica and guitar, and charged with honest lyricism and powerful vocals.

They’ve shared stages with legends like KRS-One, Kytami, Pineo & Loeb, K+Lab, and more, while making their mark at some of Canada’s top festivals including Shambhala Music Festival, Wicked Woods, and Denim on the Diamond.
