‘You’re My Heart, You’re My Meadow’ fuses infectious vocal samples, jacking drum programming and feel-good piano riffs to create a summertime anthem that at once looks back to the sonics and moods of proto-house whilst feeling entirely modern. ‘Ballistica (dub version)’ brings the EP into deeper territory, with a driving arpeggio weaving through the extrasensory tones and patterns that bring the track to moments of enlightenment. ‘L’amore (dub version)’ follows, which plays like a 80’s Freestyle meltdown for current, discerning discotheques. The release closes out with Marvin & Guy out of Italy on remix duties of ‘You’re My Heart, You’re My Meadow’. Their interpretation pushes it to all-consuming, reflective, psychedelic realms with its function as a dancefloor heater kept well and truly intact.

These tracks go right back to the essence, hitting the full spectrum with stripped back classic New York and Chicago House cuts that wouldn't seem out of place in a BMX or WBLS mix from back in the day. Que Sakamoto and Carrot Green have teamed up on international waters to present an EP featuring two originals and two remixes, released by São Paulo's Gop Tun label.

Their collaborative work draws inspiration from their shared experience at the Bruma Festival, a three-day music event set amidst the lush mountains in Silva Jardim, a two-hour drive from Rio de Janeiro.

In Sakamoto + NT's original, they blend Japanese-infused breakbeats with Brazilian carnival samples and the distinctive vocals of Eryy.

Carrot Green's contribution, "Domingo a Noite em Silva Jardim," offers an arpeggiated journey through the misty vibes of Silva Jardim city, inspired by the festival's Sunday night dancefloor.

Beyond their originals, Que Sakamoto and Carrot Green also provide fresh interpretations of each other's tracks, with different perspectives on each original song. Dive in!

Pacific Rhythm is elated to announce the forthcoming release of “Exiles”, a deeply life-affirming and introspective four-tracker from one of electronic music’s most prolific duos, Frank & Tony. This EP also marks the first release from the pair outside of their own imprint Scissor & Thread in many years. Back in 2021 they approached us with the intention of contributing something that felt like a natural part of our catalog and it’s safe to say they arrived right at home.

“Exiles” further explores the dubby, subtle energy they’ve crafted since the project began in 2012 and refines it down to the pure essence of genre. It’s a deeply rewarding listen and we believe It’s a wonderful addition to the on-going soundscape we’ve been building for the last decade with Pacific Rhythm.

“Exiles” will be available on all streaming platforms this coming Saturday, October 28. A 12” vinyl version of the EP will follow in the coming weeks. More on that later!
