Whether this is through his own productions and alias' on Trouble Maker or through his genre-hopping DJ sets that can be heard at world renowned festivals and clubs such as Love International, Gottwood, Fabric and his second home The Lion & Lamb. His 15 years of collecting and playing records shines through in his sets, effortlessly weaving between multiple genres - techno, house, 2-step, garage, electro and some more contemporary flavours. "There's no real hard and fast theme to this mix, I think Pulling Strings has got such an obvious nod to what it should sound like - emotive heart string tuggers. I think when I first started putting mixes together for this concept, not so long ago, I stressed out about sticking two hours of pure tear jerkers together. Quickly realised I didn't have enough of it that would fit together in a cohesive way and it also sounded completely shit. But then as the concept of it all slowly starts to come together I've realised it's not actually about sticking continuous cry your eyes out bangers together, it's all about building around them that make them so special when they eventually get brought to the forefront of a mix, if that makes sense. 

Tracklisting is built up of a few new bits I've recently stumbled upon that I feel like nod to the sound of Pulling Strings, toward the back end there are some absolute classics that have had my heart for years that I've not had an opportunity to include in a mix before. There are also two tracks off of the forthcoming release, PS002 - from Biodive and Johnny Flowers, two artists I really respect - and you'll see why when you hear them."

Bringing in Tapes #61 is London-based musician Primrose, who creates spellbinding, colourful electronic music. He blends bouncy club focused rhythms and the other-worldly soundscapes of dreampop, film soundtracks, and shoegaze, culminating into a fresh and distinctive sound that he affectionately refers to as ‘Blade Runner Techno’. 

As a DJ, Primrose is drawn to dramatic, emotional sounds and storming rhythmic transmissions from across the spectrum of electronic music and beyond, weaving between house, techno, 80s New Wave, post-punk & EBM.
