As a core member of Copenhagen’s Axcess label, Alfredo92 is one of the defining figures of Denmark’s underground techno scene. For the first edition of Symbiotic Mixseries, he opens the vault of his personal record collection - guiding us through a selection of rare, timeless gems and telling his story through sound.

Live recording of @sookiesarah's vinyl only set in the notorious garage room at @horstartsandmusicfestival's Club, a stripped down space where sound acts as the protagonist. The mix was recorded during the afterhours on Sunday 9th March from 11am-2pm, transitioning from a night of deep techno to housey afternoon vibes, resulting in a mix that keeps the energy high while also offering a soft landing.

This month’s Outsiders show is a deep dive with theories, a Berlin-based audiovisual artist and long-time sound explorer. Recorded at sunrise, the mix drifts gently between haze and clarity. Blending retro-futurist textures, dub-infused rhythms, liquid DnB echoes and downtempo grooves, theories crafts a melancholic, distorted, yet tender music journey. Transitions unfold like shifting moods: unpredictable, raw, yet fluid.

Originally intended as a warm, euphoric ride, the mix instead channels vulnerability and emotional truth — a reflection of a long night where music became the guide. A slowly unfolding, genre-blurring exploration where opposites meet and resonate.

永遠の酸 (Eternal Acid)

Beam records is excited to present the debut release from enigmatic friend of the label, mystery sister. Across four tracks, the Silkworm EP explores turn-of-the-millennium tek haus and mnml, drawing on organic sound palettes and playful psychedelia. The title track, ‘Silkworm’, sets acidic breakbeat pseudoscience against brooding atmospheres, entrancing rabbits down the hole. ‘Kabel’ is a moody minimal roller, striding aimlessly into the depths of the eternal after-hours. Opening the B-side, ‘Of The Mind (Wonky Dub)’ evokes evasive tek haus, layering rhythmic bounce over bubbling, micro-dosed textures. Cue lush pads and dubtek stabs to close out the EP with ‘Of The Mind (Sunrise Mix)’, offering glimmers of afterglow optimism.

Next up in the 10 year celebrations, runa & asha lead us through the bass-driven wilderness with a live recording of their excellent three hour opener from Montreal's Exposé Noir.

"This 3-hour recording is taken from our opening set at an Exposé Noir day party in Montreal last October. It captures a pivotal moment in our musical journey. We’ll always have a deep love for bass (and it’s definitely present here), but this set marks the moment when we began exploring new textures, emotions, and modes of storytelling.

Starting with slower tempos and syncopated rhythms, the mix moves through atmospheric tracks with sentimental breaks before closing with rolling, bass-heavy, percussive, techno-adjacent sounds. This set reflects how our approach to DJing has evolved—layering rhythms, basslines, and tonal elements to create something fresh and engaging for the dance floor.

For us, this mix is a snapshot of our growth and experimentation. Hope you enjoy xx"
