A humble but talented artist, dedicated to his craft and with a keen sense for different shades of music the relative newcomer has already amassed stand-out releases on @amphia, @meander-music, @brouqade and not to mention his own experimental imprint, @cl-series-1. His DJ sets are known to be eclectic in their nature whilst stacked with unknown jams, much coveted unreleased tracks and sown together with unobvious classics creating a journey for listeners altogether filled with an array of vivid sounds. Still somewhat of a slight unknown quantity despite already having played dance floors around the world, this music collector with a refined taste in selection and killer DJ sense is soon to become a household name.

The Mood Series is quickly presenting itself as one of the most landmark collections in dub techno history. And while the search continues to scour the lands for the finest in techno, it's amazing to think we are up to our 71st release in the portfolio. This edition features Schulz Audio who is making his 3rd appearance with us. 'Short of Stable' is a lush and 4 track beauty that will get a limited vinyl dubplate and a digital release. 'Quazar' is a breezy opener that rides a crest of reverberating chords that shimmer over an organic rhythm section. The aquatic sanctuary feel is real! 'Sundaze' brings a sound reminiscent of classic Cologne styled dub techno while pushing the sounds further closer to the island roots of the genre. The way the chords seem to fade out over the beats near the end is a brilliant touch. Super smooth! The title track is another floaty let your cares drift away type of a beauty. This one is so entrancing you nearly forget there is a beat going on. Subliminally soothing and a heady masterpiece of the healing effects dub can have on the mind and body. Schulz Audio completes the EP with some serious summer chords in 'Juxtaposition'. Overall, a magical and tranquil vibe surrounds these tracks with pure production class from Schulz Audio. Not sure if Balearic dub techno is a subgenre yet but this release has us grabbing our beach chairs and a bag of ice set to enjoy these calming and beautiful vibes of this soundtrack.

Alexander Bogdanov: 
Alexander's life story began in Kaliningrad, where he grew up in a family of professional musicians, which left an indelible imprint on him.
Whatever he was fond of as a teenager, it all ultimately came down to music: classes at a music school in accordion and piano, later contrabass, as well as DJing on two-cassette tape recorders and the first home mixes on cassettes :)

Since 2006, Alexander has established himself in the music industry, making it not only a part of his life, but also a profession: producing pop music arrangements for artists in Belarus and Russia.
However, he draws a clear dividing line between work and creativity.

Speaking of music and personality, one can be convinced that these are inextricably linked entities. Alexander develops thanks to music and music develops thanks to Alexander.
The sound palette, which he collects from different parts of his soul, is designed to convey love and peace through the prism of the facets of dub techno.

Gabriele (@ggaabbrriieellee) collects music, occasionally enjoys playing weird tunes to small dancing crowds, run a small record label called @Sunnycrypt and also spends some of his happiest days working in a record shop. Driven by a strong curiosity towards a wide range of musical genres coming from different eras and different cultural contexts, he co-curated the "Italian Dancefloor Outsiders 1987 - 1994" project, a retrospective compilation of under-the-radar leftfield club music released by Sound Metaphors' THANKYOU.

Two hours and a quarter is approximately the time of a car ride from Milano - the place I’ve been living for 10 something years now - to Massa, my hometown, in the northern end of Tuscany.
This mix kind of tries to embody both length and feeling wise one of those travels, the mixed feelings in kind of leaving a part of my current life behind while embracing memories from the past, adapting to a much slower peace, feeling the breeze of the sea and the salt on my skin, deep diving into a river, hiking a hill… or maybe I’m just overthinking as per usual, and this mix is just a selections of tunes I really like that might be a good fit for your next car ride : )
