The Voices At The Beginning Of The Music Piece Are Taken From A Documentary Entitled: "The Vocal Games Of The Inuit - The Chronicle Of Aliette De Laleu" And Who Says The Following Words: 

It's a song that comes from the song of the throat, from the bottom of the ages, the Inuit have been practicing it for millennia, a game where we imitate the sound of seals and ice., a duel between women, the first Who Laughs Has Lost. In certain Inuit communities of the Canadian Arctic, women have long practiced these vocal contests which have been called throat songs but which are not; these are good games; Two Women Stand Face To Face And Perform Vocal Patterns With Voiced Sounds; That is to say that they make the vocal chords vibrate, unvoiced sounds, exhaled or inspired sounds, throat sounds, the goal of the game is to hold out as long as possible, the first who is wrong, who Laughs Or Who has no more breath, has lost .... It's A Shamanic Tradition .....

I will add that finally it will be necessary to preserve all these traditions, whether they are Inuit, Mongolian, African, European or other because of "global warming" because it is a "Cry Of Alarm" which we are facing.... .... I'm a former sound engineer from Translab Studio Paris, providing audio mastering for +650 releases including Pepe Bradock "Deep Burnt", and all Daft Punk's Crydamoure label. I've carved the French-Touch sound during 10 years and launched the lounge music movement. I initiated the first raves in France with my friend Manu Casana, sound-designed Karl Lagerfeld's shows amongst others. This is my new projet. 100 compilations, sharing my personal selection of the best contemporary music, mixed together in the most eclectic way, yet creating an unforgettable journey. This is my "Collection".

Some volumes are self-evident. This thirteenth instalment is one of them: a succession of suspended moments, restrained impulses, singular voices and dancing melodies that resonate long after the last note. I'm thrilled to say that this selection and its mixes make it the perfect follow-up to my Collection 012!

This new opus is an incredible journey with no destination! It's a musical adventure that sails between hushed grooves, quirky ballads and crossover gems. It begins in the elegant haze of Erik Truffaz's trumpet, crosses paths with the irony of Cake's flippant revisiting of Gloria Gaynor, wanders through the streets of a nostalgic Nantes sung by Beirut, before swaying to the tasty rhythms of dub, soul and polished rap.

As it is often the case with my selections, there are many exciting connections to be made: between the orchestral pop of yesteryear and the modernity of electronic beats, between the islands of Cape Verde and the backstreets of Paris, between the nonchalance of Joe Dukie and the funky élan of Jamiroquai.

This new collection is like a dreamy stroll through a garden of rare yet familiar sounds – it's absolutely amazing! Picture this: you're preparing dinner, driving to the sea or simply enjoying a soft and luminous late afternoon. That's when you'll want to play this – it's a perfect moment to listen to. The perfect balance between lounge and more frontal sound, designed for those who still love to listen in a different way.
