'Premium / Upgrade' is the second single taken from Christian Bachmann's well received debut album 'Premium' which got released last June. Next to the two well crafted originals, we welcome two artists with a long Manual history back on board the label for remix duties. Two of Christian's personal favorites too; Applescal and Avus.

Both Applescal and Avus have left a serious mark on electronic music in the past decade. Applescal started out on Manual Music and Deep Records and has since then released several albums on Traum before starting his own Atomnation label under the wings of !K7, providing us with artists such as Gidge, David Douglas and Weval.

Most of you might remember Avus from delivering gems such as 'Poppy' on James Holden's Border Community, but he has also released several EP's on Manual in the past and worked for labels such as Shabu Recordings and Klang Elektronik to name a few.

Three of the finest names in IDM / electronica / shoegaze all featured on one single. Winning? Yes, we do think so..

2015 has been a good year for us here at Pineapple Grooves and we are turning 
1 year old this month of January 2016. We start off the new year and we bring 
back PG regular UK house producer, Another Ambition, with his EP, 'Different Days'. 

The original mix was released last year and was supported by Above & Beyond twice 
in their Group Therapy podcasts, and we add more flavours to the original mix with 
remixes from Japanese deep house producer Kiwamu, Ronfoller & Ahmed Suleymanov who 
both hail from Azerbaijan, and to top it off, Another Ambition reworked his original 
into a proper liquid drum & bass version.

Different Days (Original Mix)

Deep house vibes are all present in this original "Different Days" mix by Another 
Ambition. Tropical drums and bass gallop about off step to each other, accompanied 
by piano chords and a few choice select sounds that turn this into a discotech hit.

Different Days (Another Ambition's Trip to Mirror City VIP)

The "Trip to Mirror City VIP" is a surefire smasher, a hot fire drum set spitting 
loudly over warbling basslines inside the magic that is this drum and bass version of 
Another Ambition's "Different Days".

Different Days (Kiwamu Remix)

PD resident Kiwamu gets funky and futuristic with a deep-progressive rendition of 
"Different Days". Cool squares pluck in almost parabolic form to the beat with sexy 
synths rising and falling in perfect harmony.

Different Days (Ronfoller & Ahmed Suleymanov Remix)

Ronfoller & Ahmed Suleymanov complete the "Different Days" EP with deep-seated, 
bass-heavy, driving sound that stays on full throttle. Rare aural treasures are 
abound in this remix, as well as the tracks in this captivating EP.
