To Ricciardi & Dope (PT) have an illustrious shared history. From the sun kissed Portuguese shores, the duo has found their music allied to a host of impressive imprints. To Ricciardi has been involved in the music industry since the early 1990s, subsequently graduating with a degree in audio engineering before featuring on a host of high-profile releases alongside the likes of Beckers, Frankey & Sandrino and Richard Dorfmeister. Joining forces with his compatriot, Dope (PT), the pair have made a splash on the Sururu Records, Flow Vinyl and Ohxala Records. Making their Particles debut, "Fusco" provides a sublime music box opening before emotive melodies sweep forwards. A sustained bassline and deep kick provide a rhythmic anchor as ticking percussive hats supply energy aplenty. A mid-point pause for breath creates a moment of reflection as the third movement explodes into life with a cascading arpeggio that drives the track forwards to its conclusion. "Lusco" provides a slower paced progressive offering that revels in luscious pads and delicate melodic counterpoint. Glistening in spring sunlight, the track evolves elegantly with intricate melodies, as a bassline groove and rolling percussion add weight.

A new artist pairing sees Dustin Nantais & Zoi take centre stage. Nantais has been a mainstay in the underground dance scene for almost a decade. A seasoned professional with a host of high-profile DJ performances to his name, the Toronto resident has overseen a successful production career with regular releases on Manual Music, Variety Music and Where The Heart Is. 2014's "Ideologue" was a notable Particles highlight as were remixes for Michael A and Rauschhaus. Similarly, Karachi born, Zoi, has had an explosive production career from his adopted Toronto home with releases on such esteemed imprints as Traum, Kindisch and Dream Culture. Now, making their collaborative Particles debut, the Dustin Nantais & Zoi remix of "Fusco" is a gloriously pulsating affair that captures the flowing melodic phrasing of the original while adding a swathe of new production material that blossoms in the second movement with a grooved bassline and heavy kick. Adding pitched vocal textures, the stunning melodic phrasing of To Ricciardi & Dope's work comes to the fore in a scintillating reinterpretation.

Pole Folder needs no introduction. A debut on John Digweed's Bedrock in 2000 shot the Belgian icon to fame while work for Proton Music since 2006 has assured his continued star status, as 2018's "A Glimpse Into the Past", "Serengeti" and the forthcoming, "Mara", clearly demonstrate. Particles has seen its own editions of these original tracks alongside remixes of Ferdy and Dante Pippi & Demitros in 2012 and 2018. Now returning to the label, the Pole Folder remix takes "Lusco" in a trademark progressive house voyage. Redolent in delicate melodic interaction, elements from the original blend seamlessly with Pole Folder's distinctive production work. A spine-tingling new bassline appears at the mid-point as a hypnotic motif wends its way across the third act in unhurried fashion, accompanied by symphonic strings and powerful beat. The result is a stunning new reworking.

Endangered is proud to present the debut EP from Sixty Feet Deep; a British DJ/producer duo who have weaved together an atmospheric 4-tracks of Progressive House & Melodic Techno.

Tom Sala and Ashley Mellor, known collectively as Sixty Feet Deep, each hail from different parts of the UK. Their musical journey is rooted in their mutual love of the underground House scene, and began after meeting each other at a London warehouse party. Having already performed DJ sets together both in the UK and mainland Europe, they’re now ready to release their debut EP Monolithic. Brian Cid heard the rich tapestry of Sixty Feet Deep’s sound, and felt that it would fit perfectly with the cinematic style of Endangered.

The title track is the opener, and the tone is set with a deep and hypnotic number. Subtle vocal samples allude to the feeling of discovery, and a pulsating synth resonates throughout and lures you deeper into a trance. Following is “Drift”, and comes with an energetic groove from the drums and bassline right off the top. The percussion and subtle arpeggiated synths that kick in ahead of the break elevate the groove, and the journey through the darkness is fully in swing. The 3rd track is “Element”, and this one moves to more of a progressive vibe. Smooth and hypnotic, the light at the end can now be seen from a distance but is still out of reach. “Cielo Nubilosa” is the finale, and is the most melodic track of the collection. With an angelic melody combined with driving drums, the listener is left in a place of balance. An appropriate ending to an outstanding debut.

PREMIERE: Maga - Traverse

For our next release we are treated with a diverse 4-track EP by Ghettofaust. After his first appearance on the label last month we are excited to announce his 'End Of The Earth' EP. A diverse yet synth-driven EP showcasing the diversity Ghettofaust is capable of. Starting off we have 'Zugzwang', a mellow dub-infused groovy house track. Following is the title track 'End Of The Earth'. Spooky pads, classic house stabs & a solid warm bassline, the perfect recipe for a proper house record. Diving deeper into the EP we are greeted by the synth-infused techno track 'Mea Culpa'. A bit reminiscent of older Vince Watson productions, the tune layers a lot of different elements together creating an atmospheric & melodic rhythmic record, the true definer of Ghettofaust's style & abilities. Rounding off the EP we stay in the techno area with 'Feierabend'. Proper grooves, dubby stabs and a latin guitar to give the track an unusual twist. 'End Of The Earth' is out on all major platforms on the 29th of August.
