"Eisbär"(German for 'polar bear') is a 1980 cult classic composed by the Swiss Neue Deutsche Welle band Grauzone.

Mount Mike is an Aussie/Canadian hybrid, like a waffle with Vegemite or maple syrup on wheetbix. He re-interpreted the Grauzone hit with his signature emotive melody & otherworldly synths.

Deep house at the core, his tracks meander through progressive and minimal territory, sometimes even lending from techno. He loves it weird and wonky and is not afraid to blur the boundaries.

His DJ sets have landed him slots at Australian festivals such as Strawberry Fields and Babylon & at off the stage roles as a host on Premium Tuna - a radio show on Kiss FM dedicated to Australian producers and DJs.  
As director of Under The Nest Music & Arts Festival - a boutique camping festival run in the Winton Wetlands - Mount Mike has cemented his place in the Melbourne scene as one of their own.

His mantra? There’s a rhythm in everything, you just have to listen for it. His mission? To spread connection and dancing through the emotive and sometimes weirder side of house and techno. Signed to Australian label Suckmusic, Mike's releases have been building momentum with a string of Beatport chartings and Spotify traction. With a number of exciting releases scheduled for 2021, Mount Mike is certainly one to watch out for.

Tate.lay trembling in the dark tangle of weeds. Dripping stalks of nocturnal vegetables clutched and stirred around him. Poisonous night insects slithered across the surface of the fetid bog. It squirmed in his hand and then, reluctantly, died. For a long time, its dead legs kicked. The probing stalk of a stringing snail began tracing webs across Tate's inert body. As the sticky pressure of the snail crept heavily onto him, he heard the first faint far-off sounds of the camp going into action. For a time, he understood-and shudered miserably, helplessnly. The first phase of the big offensive against Earth was already moving into high gear.
